1920x1200 is what I would expect from a 24" display.

1920x1200 does give a nicer environment for normal computing.

But if you use the screen for computing, console gaming, HD movies, you're going to either have black bars (top & bottom) or a stretched picture (if you switch to 1920x1080 for viewing to eliminate the bars).

I got e2409 this when it was on offer for 159 at play a few months ago at play, it took ages to arrive. Use it for general computing and xbox. it is great, its exactly the same as this model accept it got a better stand.

Charlie.

Aria have a 23" HD 1080p monitor for £114 on SuperSpecial HERE , if you're budget doesn't stretch to 170 squids ;-)

Yeah I guess I should have explained myself better, I meant for use as a computer screen I would much prefer 1920x1200. For a TV obviously 16:9 is better.

yes its cheaper but only has dvi, the play one has hdmi, dvi and vga and you can switch between inputs. makes a good cheap tv as well if you have a freeview box with hdmi output
