don't ever remember this being anything other than £2.95, it's been this price for donkeys

I believe that it has no microphone.....just pics, so you will have to buy an additional microphone if you want to talk to people so doesnt work out that cheap....

5MP (software enhanced)
So its not 5MP its probably 1.3 at most

I think £2.95 for a 5mp webcam delivered is a bargain, sure it wont be brilliant but what do you expect when you pay peanuts.

Software enhanced means it should have the same quality as a 5mp webcam it also has 12mp for picture taking which alone I think is quite good.

Take a 5mp digital camera and compare it to a 12mp pic from this and you will see an incredible difference.
The lense will be pants, the pic will be grainy and the reaction time will be poor.
You get what you pay for, personally ive always found logitech webcams to be reasonable quality and price.

could be useful for setting up your own XXX chatroom and earn a few shillings

I got one of these, and no way is it 5Mp. Not bad quality for the price, but it is borderline for what I wanted it for, as a camera for a security system. Won't quite resolve a numberplate. It does have a focusing lens, which is a plus.

Yeah, I got one and it's basically the same as my old VGA one.

It sits on the monitor very well though.
