IKEA 3 X PORT USB CHARGER £7

Visited idea and bought this x3 port USB charger and it has been brilliant. It charges everything fast from iPhone to Samsung tablets.

I know it is not a deal but for the fact I can rapidly charge three devices at the same time it is priceless, especially when my three daughters want iPod, iPad charging yesterday.

Looks a great, and safe charger.

I bought one last week. Can't fault it, great quality plastic - feels more solid than my official Samsung plug! Plus ikeas swipe a prize for family members started again this week.

Anyone know the output current per port?

@mchu6am4

3 USB ports.
Voltage USB ports: 5Vdc.
Current USB ports in total: Max. 3400mA.
Current per USB port: Max. 2400mA.

I don't suppose it's smart?

good find op, heat added

Normal price

Are the usb ports really on the bottom?

I was in IKEA Glasgow yesterday and they had these priced at £4.75. Big stack of them just before the lighting section.

Also worth checking your emails. I had a £5 off voucher for ikea with no minimum spend. My be account specific thou ( and you can't use it for the hotdogs afterwards )

Got one of these. Great little charger

£7.50 for delivery, so I think I will pass. Handy for those that are near a store which unfortunately I'm not.

mine doesn't usually get many questions right when im watching the chase so id say no, pretty thick in my opinion

My kids got one of these each for xmas from the red-dressed white-bearded man. They cost 7 pounds then too. Both children pleased with the item. Would recommend!

hope you bought them more than just usb chargers :P

This is great, we use ours all the time !!

I can vouch for this being a great quality charger and charges stuff pretty quick. Had mine since autumn. Not sure its a great deal in terms of price but its from a quality brand and not some dodgy 99p import on ebay.

And yes to the question above, it does have the 3 ports on the bottom.

1.25 in primark for 1 port usb, very good quality too.. £7? I'll pass thanks!

How quick does it really charger 3 devices connected to it, thats the most important question me think?

3.4A Max output shared over the 3 ports, so a little over 1.1A per port with all 3 ports in use, so not that fast for some devices, tablets etc. that can optimally charge at 2A or greater.

Would rather stick to a 4 port Anker, this is just generic Chinese in an IKEA packet.
I have used IKEA but they also have a lot of product recalls as they know some of their stuff is tat.

Based on the numbers above I think you would get about 1.13 Amps per port if fully loaded.

these are great but only work on 240V. if you travel to America they don't work on 110V bit annoyed.

Could almost say the same of Anker. I have 2 of their 40W 4 port smart chargers, and if they aren't faulty (had to return both), they pretty much charge at the same rate as a normal 4 port charger. At least they have a decent customer service and returns policy through Amazon.

A USB charger.......The jammy little rascals!

Does it mess up the device or anything in the long run?

I would rather charge my electrical device via a hamster wheel than trust a charger from Primark, no offense.

Not true I'm afraid. Think you misread the sign, £4.75 is the price for the extension cord with the same range name, directly underneath. This charger is £7, I just bought one.

Wow! That is some review, thanks for the link

ever since I bought a charger off eBay a few years ago and it blew itself to melted plastic pieces I'm very careful now .I have one of these IKEA and it works well and will be getting more when I can be bothered to go back to IKEA ,or most likely when the other half says we're going.

Certainly if your daughters are unlucky enough to have an ipo/ad they're going to be needing this. A lot. For a long, long time.

Well you are fortunate to always have three empty conveniently placed sockets to plug 'em into. Many don't. This means you can charge up to three devices overnight (when time is not of the essence) from one socket - essential in the average hotel room - or a quick charge (if the device supports it) for one or two.

Excellent arrangement - take some heat.
