Only just came across these today., much cheaper than other makes, various widths but all same length, more expensive blackout versions also available (fyrtur range)

You can control your blinds wirelessly to adapt the light or create privacy depending on the activity taking place in the room.

You can use TRÅDFRI gateway and IKEA Home smart app to create several groups of wireless blinds and control them in different ways.

When you add TRÅDFRI gateway and IKEA Home smart app, you can set your wireless blinds to go up and down with a timer.

Filters light and reduces reflections on TV and computer screens.

For the blinds wireless functions to work, the signal repeater (included in the package) needs to be plugged in to a power socket within 10 meters from the blind.

The blind comes prepaired with the remote control and the signal repeater.

The blind is cordless for increased child safety.

Add the TRÅDFRI gateway and the IKEA Home Smart app to control through Google Home. (Apple HomeKit and Amazon Alexa support will also be available later on.)

You need the TRÅDFRI gateway to use the IKEA Home smart app. Download the app for free via Google Play or App Store, depending on which mobile device you have.

The roller blind can not be cut.

We continuously update the IKEA Home smart app with more functions and possibilities.

1 rechargeable battery included.

Nobody with taste, i was trying to be polite.
Last week I just bought a kit off Alibaba to do the same thing. My windows are 58cm, and I wanted the blinds in the reveals so these wouldn't fit. Also the window length is quite long.

I've 8 windows so bought 8 x Dooya tubular motor, fittings and tube , but no blind material. It's controlled by a 15-channel remote, but the intention is to eventually try to automate with a wireless hub such as Broadlink etc. They are battery versions as I didn't want wires all over, and supposedly last 4-6 months, and you can stick in a USB and re-charge from a battery bank.

I'll have to buy some blind material in UK, but it means I can get the colours I want.
Cost for the 8 windows was £470 excluding material - so £58.
I can update how I get on when it comes next week.
With any luck someone will figure how to get these to work with mqtt & home assistant

Ideal maybe if the room is not overlooked or close to a street. You could add nets but nobody has used them since the 1980's lol.

A great security feature these, able to open and close when you’re away and at work with these darker nights.
Will look to kit the house out with these once we get a new place.
Really wish they did them wider, they only go up to 4 and half foot and my window is 6ft

Pretty sure the tradfri component already has it covered.

Not really. For example, TRÅDFRI (or Ikea Home Smart as it is now) can’t turn your lights on 15 minutes before sunset automatically, unlike Apple HomeKit controlling these lights which knows when sunset is each day.

I agree, I’d like one for our kitchen window.

I was responding to the question about home assistant, which can do that.
IKEA Tradfri gateway is the most unreliable bit of home automation tech I own, thank heaven the lights come with standalone controllers - I've lost count of the amount of reboots I've had to do on the Gateway. You can't even set a fixed IP on the thing, disastrous IMO.

Alternatively, assuming these are also ZigBee, look up zigbee2mqtt for an integration option.
Any good alternative of electronic blinds?
At a quick glance, I thought ooh projector screen, but as I clicked on thread it became clear it is a blind lol

When these were first talked about last year ikea said they be doing just the track for people who already own their blinds, seems that’s not haopening now
I have these (blackout version) and integrated with Homeassistant successfully. They're excellent, especially for the price, and can open and shut based upon sunset/sunrise/whatever trigger I want. Really pleased with the purchase

Could you fit 2 off 3 foots?
Did think about that but don’t know if there would be a gap between the two
You would have a gap between them as roller is slightly larger
Width of fabric: 60cm

Width of roller: 64.3cm

So there will be a gap of 8.6cm between the 2 fitted side by side.

I am assuming the extra 4.3cm is the same on all sizes.

Edit: infact the gap would be 4.3cm as it would be divided by 2 on each then added together if you put them together.

Has anybody got any experience with these? Been following the development for ages but not sure they will fit.

Our bedroom window is 87cm wide - the 80cm blind has a width of 84.3cm, does anybody know if the brackets will stretch the extra 1.35cm on each side? Otherwise I suppose I could just pad it out.

Have you all no arms? Just close the blinds as normal.
Depending on the activity on the room...
"Alexa bedroom sexy time..."
Lights dim, hue bulbs change to soft purple. Sonos turns on. Barry White starts playing, blind goes down, echo dot microphones turn on permanently

Yup. Same here. Only weird thing is the slider on mine is backward like all the way on for open I think and if for closed.

These can be cute down if you can use a saw and scissors

I don’t have one but assign it a fixed IP in your DHCP server (more than likely to be your router
Unless you have a fancy network going); all my automation gear and security stuff is set up that way. If I ever need to factory reset anything I don’t have to faff with network settings on most of it that way.
