Let's look at the website:

3 USB ports.
Voltage USB ports: 5Vdc.
Current USB ports in total: Max. 3400mA.
Current per USB port: Max. 2400mA.
We have one of these which we bought mostly for when we travel and can't be bothered to take loads of adaptors. Lives in our kitchen now because it is super useful. Would definitely recommend, and the ports are fine for a countertop plug socket.
Good charger for the price.
Here's a tear down and look at the insides

I'd prefer bottom connectors, if you accidentally tug on the cable it's more likely to come out easily instead of stressing sockets and plugs. Top entry cables can also get stressed more as it's going up, over and down and could wear out quicker at the point where USB cable goes into USB plug. I've only had one USB cable charger cable fail on me and that was top mounted.

This is not switching, so can't be used in the States. Good for travelling in Europe though.

Good thinking Batman. Never been to the US so that didn't occur to me

Eh? I meant it can't be used on US electricity. I'm not sure what you're referring to.

As it points downwards it will not be possible to use it at all if the socket is low down

I get it. Just like if your sockets are touching the ceiling in the UK then your top entry usbs will be useless. Good job sockets are not on the skirting ey ..... jokes aside I can't think of an many instances where the usb would be better coming out the top as opposed to the bottom
These are really good. We have a couple and they give excellent charge to the more power hungry devices such as iPads.

Oddly enough I have never came across your scenario but I have had situations where - due to where the socket was located - this would have been useless
Had one of these . Dead useful. Orientation might be inconvenient for some, but good charger.
I prefer the sockets facing down as if you plugging into and extension lead flat on the ground but near a wall it’s easier. Regardless I have 2 of these and pretty decent.

Always been £7.90

So it's not a deal then? It's normal price. HUKD has changed so much in the last year. Still I look forward to the next M&S meal deal post and Co-Op £5 meal deal...

Correct. In Europe they tend to be at chest height.

Amazing how IKEA bumped the price of this UP on the back of good reviews.
At first launch i recall this being less than £4 which is when i bought mine from Leeds store a cpl of years ago maybe now.
