That’s nice.
Almost certainly Eneloop Pros - and I say that based on evidence from numerous sources, coupled with tests I've carried out on both.

They look identical, they're made in Japan (where there's apparently only the one factory making this type of battery), they weigh exactly the same (a key point) - and more importantly, the charge/discharge test results are identical.

Just £3.95 for delivery - worth it if you need a few and can't get to an IKEA.

Should have made it clearer in original post that the £5.50 is for a pack of 4.

I bow to your greater knowledge of my earlier posts. I’m flattered that you care. But it’s only an idiot, or a politician, who won’t change his mind when new evidence emerges.

i been using these for almost 2 years now on my flash every day. They are just as good as Eneloop pros
Not a deal or new but if you get them, get one of these chargers.......Great Batteries BTW and regularly stolen from London Branches (so stock reporter is usually wrong) online/£3.95 may be better than a punt on stock in store

Don't forget £3.95 delivery charge if you don't have a store near you.

Not cheap but has recovered several eneloops that other chargers refused to charge......Sometimes you just have to buy the best

Not sure I quite said that (I thought at the time it was unproven). Since then I've tested both properly and confirmed the rumours - at least to my satisfaction. The test results were identical.

That charger will cook your batteries! There are far better chargers out there, and at much lower prices.

Evidence it will cook them? Any chargers you'd recommend?

Well that's me told then! Where's your evidence of this? Is it as solid as your Ikea Battery prejudice? Your track record on such items isn't exactly solid.....Maybe you could share your "knowledge" with us all? What charger do you say is better?

That article querying whether Ikea are Eneloops is questioning the lower grade batteries not the 2450mAh which is only produced in Japan.

so what was your testing and results?
if you only started testing in december then not long enough to compare charge retention
how many sets of batteries did you check? what discharge rates? etc etc etc
eneloop pro should even get a sniff of the title here

I don't care. I was more interested in why you changed your mind all of a sudden.
I hear these are 'top rung' batteries
Unless you need that extra 450mAh, ReCyco Pros are better value longer term as they are rated for 1500 charges. hotukdeals.com/dea…725

I'm using the Amazon Basics charger. Charges my Eneloops just fine for £8.99 (can get 15% off with student discount). Some do report that they do not work, but it works for me.

thats an entirely different Ladda battery, the 2450mah ones are made in japan, only the enloop pro/rebrands are made in japan and production of the eneloops non pro/ rebrands were moved from japan a long time ago.
Nitecore i4 charges eneloops fine.......and very slowly

I have - and they are. The ones you're referring to are entirely different batteries, and probably not Eneloops.

It's the charge rate, and the inflexibility of it that's the problem, since you ask.

And, again since you ask:

The Rolls-Royce (and well worth the high price):

The Skoda (good value and does the job well):

Wouldn't recommend that charger from 7dayshop.

Mine failed after very little use just after a year, swapped the psu just to be sure but it was the main unit itself, dead as a dodo.
Skodas are more reliable than this.

Xtar vc4 can do 18650 as well as aaa/aa's and others, shows charge input into battery (helps weed out poor or near end of life batteries) but has no discharge function.

I bought some of these after reading that they were Eneloops and have been really surprised at how quickly they have discharged when not being used - worse than any other batteries I’ve had (bar dirt cheap ones). Has anyone else found this?
Any comments on the ikea charger?

I just opened a pack and they are fully charged having tested them, actually slightly higher voltage and capacity than the 2500mah Duracell ones I recently opened

For that I use the Liitokala Engineer Lii-500 for about £17, does AA/AAA/Li-Ion etc. And shows (discharge) capacity.

You should test them after 3 4 years to see how they perform, obviously after a intense usage during this long period, pretty sure eneloop will beat the ladda
