or you can buy the standard malm for like 55 quid all year round.. really dont see enough difference in look or build quality to justify such a massive price gap.

Sorry for treading the toes,

£45 for the 3 Drawer and £55 for the 4 Drawer variants.

HUKD

lol

Are we rating the deal or the value for money?!?
This is a great deal in terms of saving, so why vote cold?

Good find! Hot!

Saving means nothing. If I offer you a £1 coin for £2 and tell you it usually retails for £5 is that a hot deal?

The point is theyve taken a chest of drawers that retails for £55 365 days a year, put some lacquer on it and priced it at £200.

Ok.. £45, makes my argument more pertinent.

I was working off memory; which fails me

Your example is flawed and the mere fact your avatar picture is that of a "Troll" says it all really.

I think you should spend more time on hotukvalueformoney.com

Pray, do explain the flaws of my logic.

Lol, no thanks. I have better things to do than debate with flawed logic.

Surely one 'debates flawed logic'. Pray, do explain how one debates 'with' a mode of reasoning.

Unless of course you meant that you intend to use a flawed mode of reasoning to base your argument.

Just sayin..

Dearie me.

All this fuss over a horrible, overpriced, 70's style, poorly built chest of drawers........

This is a lovely set of drawers- just like the Laura Ashley ones that are an extortionate price! Shame I have kids and therefore have so many fingerprints or I'd trade my boring white ones for these!

The silver one costs a lot more than the normal ones. Fact. If you are in the market for a silver one, this is a hot deal. If you are not, then that doesn't make it a cold deal, just something you wouldn't buy. It's STILL a hot deal.

i see these yesterday, I think they look cheap, might just be because it was a display model, full of finger prints and scratched

Horrible - Maybe
Overpriced - Yes ( £200! )
70's style - Not sure

But poorly built - Absolutely not and it is evident that you have never actually seen a Malm unit. They are extremely well designed and made from good quality components. The 'standard' versions are extremely good value for money

Is the 10% discount with family card on all ikea stuff at the moment?

Just all sale items as far as I'm aware:

Can you buy the mirror drawers separately?

Is it evident? Really?

Having experienced them, I'll stand by my original comment.

Thanks.

I've got four Malm units in various sizes and I think they're good quality else I wouldn't have bought them. The drawers are not designed to take dead bodies, and have the normal hardboard bottom as you'd expect in any flatpack.

Having said that - poorly built could be result of the tool that put them together.

EDIT: typo, I meant "tools used or person"
