Ikea has meatballs offer on wednesdays only- It is called 'Rollover Wednesdays'. It costs £1.50 for a small plate with 10 meatballs with chips/potatoes and gravy and lingonberry jam. It usually costs £3.25. So, it is less than half price!

I think this offer is valid with family card only. And with family card you can get free coffee, tea or hot chocolate too.

It is certainly in Cardiff Ikea and I am sure it is in all Ikeas- the offer was advertised on the 2010 catalogue.

Tbh that plate with meatballs is well worth the pennys alone, heard good things from Ikea brekkys etc, so great deal imo ::thumbsup:

Do they really eat this sort of stuff in Sweden?

Heh yep. But it's not the only thing they eat! . :w00t:
But it is a bit of stereotyping tbh.

They look disgusting in the picture, but Ikea's breakfast is lovely.

Hmmm meatballs! I haven't actually sat in and had the meatballs but i've had the frozen ones from the food shop and they were very tasty indeed!

Ikea meatballs seem so wrong, but taste so right! **** knows what they put in that creamy gravy though, but when it tastes this nice who the hell cares?

When I went to the Lakeside store last week they had a deal on in the food court bit for a massive bag of frozen meatballs, two sachets of the creamy gravy, and a jar of the lingonberry jam (basically the same as cranberry sauce), all for £6. If you can get home before the meatballs thaw then it's a bargain!

Heat added.

I was there on wednesday & took advantage of this offer *yum*

but for all the brekkie-lovers......I am sure i saw a poster proclaiming a similar offers for the brekkie

Edit: Yep, i was right....checked in the 2010 catalogue.

Brekkie offer runs from 14th september until 4th october. You get the 6 item brekkie at £1.55 (includes bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, tomato, beans and a hash brown) on a BOGOF!
monday to friday only etc etc

Rollover??? Is that Swedish for leftovers?

Yes they do, my girlfriend is Swedish. They would never eat it with chips though usually with mashed potato or pasta.

I don't really like the sauce much but lingonsylt is a must, they are just not the same without it.

If you want decent Swedish meatballs Asda now sell scan/swedish kitchen meatballs for just under £2 for a decent sized pack that can easily feed 4 people, the meatballs are surprisingly filling.

I still have not found anywhere except Ikea in the UK selling lingonsylt though.

ive gone right off ikea ,after been messed around with an order, but have a measly giftcard from them to use

could just them meatballs though,mmmm

so nationwide? and how long is the offer on for?

If you fancy making them yourself, the reason they stay so moist is that they put bread soaked in cream into the mixture!

They look like s**t but I bet they taste great

"Meatball Wednesday" is now a weekly occurrence in our office!

You don't need to have an Ikea family card - anyone can take advantage of this offer.

Runs until December.

I don't know if it's different in certain stores but I had the misfortune of having these in Southampton, they were disgusting, cold, slimey, not even if they were free would I have them again, but it maybe just my experience.

Rolled over from the previous week!

This looks like dog meat !

I tried the Ikea meatballs once and was violently sick within a couple of hours.. coincidence or not I wouldn't eat them again if they were free!

Sainsbury's had some meatballs in the fridge section and they was very very good and only £1 for like 20+ but I think that was half price, still I'd pay full price for them

Mmm Ikea meatballs are awesome

I love Ikea meatballs. Haven't been for a while, but it used to be much cheaper to buy 4 kiddies plates (of 5 meatballs) than one adults plate of 20, but this deal is better still! HOT!

that pic looks horrible i wouldn't eat that if it was put infront of me

I *love* ikea meatballs, by themselves there not that special. But add the gravy, chips, red sauce and some cracked black pepper and wash it down with 2 cups of bottomless ikea coffee "aka rocket fuel" and soak up with a dime bar cake and your onto a meal of king like status LOL :-D

also 2 ikea coffee's usually take my head clean off, its almost on par with an illegal high

You can always get cheap meatballs - just buy a kids portion which is about £1.25 and comes with 10 meatballs and chips too - just like this deal!

Ikea meatballs are one of the main reasons I go to Ikea - absolutely lovely :-)

 It says £3.25 at my ikea for normal 10 meatball serving, and goes up by about 50p for the 15 and 20 servings.

Even the hotdogs taste of win + the 15p icecreams Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

ROLL ON WEDNESDAY LOL!

We've had them in southampton a couple of times and they were very nice each time. They were doing it for £1 mon-fri then

meatballs... hmm, yummy .. cant wait to grab one... :):-D:thumbsup:

I read through 2 pages of this thread and I am somewhat unhappy at the lack of 'swedish meatball/testicle' jokes which i expected to see dominating

Wasn't there a trading standards case forcing Ikea to rename their Meatballs to Offalballs?

I can't wait till wednesday so tonight I will be posting a picture of the finest meatballs from ikea!

Get your bets on they look better than the current deals pic! :-D

Kids plate contains 5 meatballs with chips for £1.25 or you have to buy 2 plates for £2.50. So i still think this offer is cool.

But dont forget, if you buy kid's meal you can get a free fruit and if you buy adult meal- you can get a free baby food bottle.

What meat do they use?

it should be pork

FYI: Sainsbury's at the moment have half price meatballs (chicken/pork/beef combo, Scan brand from memory, about 30 in the packet I'd think but of course no gravy/chips/plate) - just 99p in the chiller cabinet (and freezable).

What happened to the chocolate drinks machine at Ikea Croydon?

very nice deal.. heat added

Just to let everyone know, this isn't just valid for the UK. Just seen this deal on in Tokyo's Ikea as well. Just encase anyone is in japan and fancy's meatballs!
