Rechargeable batteries from Ikea.
Good value, lsd, ready to use, general vibe from online tests are these are possibly eneloops in disguise.

May not be a deal, but good value.
If you are near an Ikea, grab some for Chrimbo morning.

My boys rave about them in their controllers for xbone

Don't order online unless you're getting something else, delivery charge of £7.50!

They could well be Eneloops, they are made in Japan - as we all know, all the best stuff is made in Japan

Why do people keep making out these and the Amazon basic rechargeable batteries are re-branded eneloops. If these were eneloop equivalent they would be better branded than Ladda or Amazon basics.

Random question, but is each battery 2450 mAh?

If so, why can't modern phone batteries produce capacity larger than that?

Battery size for a start, phones are getting slimmer which means batteries need to get more compact, my Lenovo P2 phone has a 5100mah battery and will go for 5 days before charging but that's is about as good as it gets, not bad at all considering it has a 5,5" amoled display.

Main answer size

This battery is 2450mAh @ 1.2V = 2.94Wh (watts hours)
Your phone has 2450mAh @ 3.7V = 9.06Wh

So your phone battery has same power reserve as 3 x AA, try fitting those in your phone.

Phone batteries could be so much larger if dumb manufactures and reviewers weren't obsessed with them being 6mm thick and weighing the same as a feather.

I'd take an extra mm and 30g for another half day

mAh counts capacity of electric charge, not energy stored in the battery. If you want to compare the energy, look at the Wh rating. This is a combination of charge (mAh or Ah) and battery voltage (in Volts). These ones may have seem to have "a lot of mAh" for their size, but they're 1.2V batteries. A phone battery is (typically) at least 3.6V, so the same "juice" is a lot more "potent".

That's a horrible simplification, but it's the easiest way to explain.

Obviously different chemistry too; phones use Li-ion, these are NiMH

Why would they? They are both their own brand products and they are choosing to make the batteries in a higher quality none Chinese factory, they can’t call them eneloop without being sued. They are made in the same Japanese county based on all the research I’ve seen online and apparently match the first gens so they aren’t rebranded as eneloop are version 2 now.

You say rumour I say well researched assumption

google.co.uk/amp…mp/

multiple checks online show same oem factory used and their is only one in japan so of course it’s a similar battery
