Just wandering around warrington
they have a few shelves full of round dimmers and also kits with bulb and round dimmer

Bulbs are standard E27 in the kits mostly, (big screw type)

superb prices, dimmer on its own used to be £8. I suspect it’s because they’ll be bringing out version 2 at some point in 2020

youll need the bridge to have them online and app controlled

you can with with a little tinkering get these to work with Hue systems also!!

I got one of the £65 starter kits just before Xmas. (2x 1000lm E27 bulbs, remote & hub)

On the box it says it'll talk to Apple Homekit, Google Assistant & Amazon Alexa.
Works perfectly with the Amazon Echo 5 ("Skill" download required) that I got free with my Ring Doorbell Pro.

"Alexa - Increase brightness of landing light 10%"

Don't get this switch or the motion sensors. The battery life is terrible, and IKEA decided to not really play well with other vendors - for example, their plugs do not mesh well with hue or other ZigBee devices, and can cause problems if you turn off the IKEA plug.

This particular rotary dimmer uses a coin cell CR2032 type battery. Changed once in 12 months with daily use.

the motion sensor is crap - especially compared to the hue one, poor sensitivity, slow to detect movement.

use Tradfri for its strengths, cheap, minimal functionality bulbs and peripherals that do work with other things.

i have a hue system and Tradfri , happy with the Tradfri plugs triggering standard lamps
Also, Don't buy the CR2032 batteries from IKEA, they must source them very cheap as they don't even last a month.
If you don't have the IKEA tradfri hub, you will get issues as you will probably get a device with out of date firmware.
Triffid dimmers?!
With the combination of the rotary IKEA dimmer and IKEA batteries I was changing the battery every couple of weeks! Switched to a Hue dimmer and haven't had to change the battery in over a year
OK, The small dimmer on its own @ £3 is out of stock. But there's still loads of the dimmer + Bulb kids @£8 instead of £15
Any links on how to get these to work with Hue?

I don't have link but the best and quickest way I know is to use Hue essential app. Just use add light option follow by Touchlink. You need do keep the bulb you want to add close to Hue Bridge
