With a smart LED bulb you can adapt your lighting to different activities, for example a warmer light for dinner and a brighter, colder light for working.

Works with Samsung Smartthings without needing a hub.

Struggled to find an E14 bulb on-line but these from IKEA worked a treat.

Any idea if these are the new firmware that works with Hue Hubs?

Although it's not a bad price for a compatible bulb, this is the normal price and not really a deal.

Just got my Tradfri bulbs working with IFTTT using an installation of Coaps on my Raspberry Pi server - can now voice control them from Google Home - some good reverse engineering going on for these, great given they're overall the lowest cost smart bulbs.

will they work with amazon alexa ?

I see what you mean but surely a deal if the nearest competitor is twice the price? oh well.

According to IKEA this will come soon, but not yet

I got a Hue hub but it cannot see my Ikea bulb. Apparently this is because they are selling the bulbs with the old firmware. In order to update the firmware you need the Ikea gateway which is £25. I am not happy to fortk out that money for something I won't use but I have no idea of what to do to get the bulbs working together otherwise. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Does this work with either the Phillips Hue Bridge and/or Google Home yet?

I have the Amazon Echo Plus and am hoping that it will work with the Ikea Bulbs does anyone know if i still need to buy the gateway as i thought the plus has the zigbee software, i think thats what it is called lol
