Just got one of these to help stem the onslaught of dog hairs from our Black Lab and have to say.... it actually works.

Always been a bit dubious about these on carpet but this has an actual rotating brush underneath and actually does a really good job of picking up dust and hair out of the carpet and fairly quiet too.

You can also schedule it to pootle about during the day.

Make sure to choose EU as the warehouse to get the price mentioned above and Quidco should also track (think it's an extra 3 percent). Delivery for mine took 6 days so not the usual month long wait.

Even has an Android app to control it from your phone (QR barcode on the box, most of the buttons are in Chinese but easy enough to work out).

Updated: Price dropped to £104. 78

If they can make one that goes round getting all the cobwebs out of the corners I'm sold!

you can get your feather duster out while it's doing the grunt work. I must admit I was sceptical about these until friends recommended one to us. We got a irobot roomba for c.180 a month or so ago and so far very impressed.
I'm getting very tempted. How do they deal with stairs ie stop & turn around or fall down. Split level house so stairs everywhere!

Cliff Sensors

Sounds like a character out of a 70's cop show.

I haven't tried it upstairs but it seems to detect edges/furniture well and can find its way home when the battery is low. I'd be confident if I left it upstairs I wouldn't come home and find it downstairs.

Never had one but for a similar spec iRobot, this is probably a fifth of the price

We're trialling one at our offices at work, it is a fantastic product. It's loud though. However it's amazing what it was actually lifting from seemingly clean floors, carpets etc. I like the iRobot but it's pricey, and I'm wondering if it's the Apple iPhone of the robotic vacuum world and other products are actually better?
Not entirely sure why but I went for one of these, the Chinese translations and text alone should put me off, but have been thinking one could be useful for keep the general dust and hairs of the wooden floor. Seems like a decent buy, but could be a total waste of £100!

Pretty much was the same for me, ymmv but I'm not regretting it. Quite impressed with the amount it picks up and how quiet it is.

Price drop, now £105.35
It arrived, packaging was OK, although clearly not "premium" packaging. The build quality on the item seems very good. Manual in some oddly translated English.

Charged it up, turned it on, and it works! It seems quite intelligent and navigates around obstacles with ease. Its quiet enough, but certainly not powerful, but I put it on laminate floor in conservatory and it certainly clean up dust and dead flies etc.

The actual width of the roller pickup is narrow but its repeats where it has been again and again.

It found its base when it was told to go home.

I would only use it on hard floors, I can't imagine it being effective on carpet, not enough power. Effective enough to keep things tidy.

Will have a play about and see how it goes... not shown the Mrs yet, not sure of she will laugh or cry.

Seems to work fine on our carpets (do remove the blue cloth first though).
I see, that would make sense. Used today in the kitchen/family room and it's worked. It seems more 'intelligent' that I expected it to be, it does repeat areas but it seems thorough.

I've got one of these - it's much better than I expected, even on carpet.

A couple of questions - when you download the (Chinese) app, there are a couple of sliders, does anyone know what they do??
Also, should you wet the blue cloth when you're cleaning a hard floor??

I think it says in the manual but one of them is suction power, can't remember what it said the other was.

Yes, you can soak the cloth for hard floors. Ours is mostly used mostly on carpets so we don't have it fitted.

Can a mod unexpire this? Deal still available, in fact price is actually lower now £104.78
I love it. I set it going downstairs in the morning and move it upstairs later. it doesn't fall down the stairs and cleans carpets and wooden floors. It does tend to chew up wires and small items of clothing so I have learnt to move them first.
I want one that will turn on when you are at work. As in programme a schedule and it will run when you are not in.
Does this have such a function?

Yep, this one does that.

I have it start up automatically at 10am every day and potter about while I'm out.
