Extortionate at their usual price. Bargain at this price! These are compatible with a wide range of 'traditional' (I.e. not pod) espresso machines.

They will not work in a Tassimo type machine.

Give us a clue. Which store?

This was in the Glasgow Braehead store however every large Sainsburys I've been in sells this product. Can't guarantee the price will be the same though.

They are likely pricing them down to get rid of them as I can't imagine they sell very well at the full price. Nice product but Illys pricing is laughable.

These Illy coffee sales in Sainsburys have been bouncing around for a few weeks now and I frequently look in the stores local to me but nothing is ever on offer.

Also if anyone interested in coffee saw Illy at that price they would clear the shelf without a second thought even if they had to buy the machine!!

Great deal if you can find it.

At that price I'd buy them ,cut open the pods and use the coffee in my cafetiere.hot

Fantastic price if you can find these. Illy coffee is brilliant, but over-priced usually. I personally prefer beans for grinding at home, but having some pods is very handy when you're in a rush. I have double shot Gaggia coffee pods at home and they are simple, no mess and actually taste very good. These will probably top them, nice find!

Don't do that - the coffee is ground really fine so loads of it will get around the mesh and it'll be quite bitter.

I wonder if you could use a coffee pod as a sort of coffee tea-bag though (apart from the tea part)?

Standard coffee-snob suggestion - If you're spending money on Illy you should buy a grinder and use whole-bean instead of pre-ground. HUKD applicability: Whole bean will last longer, and you can buy 'cheaper' coffee whole bean and it'll taste as good as a better quality pre-ground because the lower quality will measure up to the fact that it won't be stale.

Confirmed this price in Stafford, saw them yesterday.

They were this price in Cramlington yesterday, I was going to post it but was too lazy.

:-D that's cool ;-)

Which machine does this work for?

Original Poster

works for 'proper' pump espresso machines. I.e. ones you put ground coffee in. These are basically pods for non pod coffee machines.

Oooh! 3 posh ones for 50p, I shall get my top hat out.... and maybe hire a limo.
