Could I blow octagonal bubbles with one of these?
There have been previous threads on immersion heater spanners. If your element has just been fitted this spanner might undo it. If not, it may lead you to damage the tank which will cost several hundred pounds to replace. There is a heavy cast iron spanner on Amazon which is much more likely to do the job without damage.

Yes you will struggle with one of theses. I recommend a box type spanner.

Totally agree. For the sake of you immersion tank, don't skimp on the heater spanner you use! amazon.co.uk/Mon…8-5
I am still getting spam mail from them having bought an item in around 2013 for a pound!
would bend on the first go but ordered 2 for a pull and push. I think it will need a little grinding modification and possibly a little welding to use both at once.

You know there's an 'unsubscribe' option, right?
I bought similar some years ago as it seemed the only option from diy sheds near me to quickly sort a new element.

Took it easy, applied as little pressure as possible on a class of tank I knew was near the top (too many cheaper ones out there of different grades that buyers need to get their heads around, as it ties in with replacing elements & the like, via thicker more durable copper bottoms & more).
Worked well, a decent element was around £20 & fitted within minutes. ..if you do buy this, hang it on peg in your airing cupboard!
Need a hammer to go with this

Absolutely! After fitting 100’s and 100’s of immersion elements, these are only pretty much of use to removing one that’s a week old. A cast ironbox spanner is what you want.

Stop monkeying around......
Good luck getting an old immersion heater out with one of these.
You need a strait one, the offset ones really are only good for blowing bubbles.I actually bought one by mistake in leylands once, couldnt undo the element, went back and swapped it no probs.
The manager told me they dont sell at all .
Don’t buy unless you need it. There is a lot of cost to environment for these cheap items.
