Pretty sure it actually uses a 2hp motor just like my Target version did with a oil filled crank. It was loud but worked and blew air so I was happy for what I paid. The included coiled air hose was junk and broke in short order and I never really got all the fittings sealed up well but it worked well enough for what I needed for the money spent.

I have a similar spec one from Aldi. These size compressors are usually £100-120, so this is a decent price. They are good for inflating tyres, cleaning with air etc. but are not really up to the job of using many tools. For example, I bought the Aldi sand blaster pot that they were selling alongside their compressor, naively thinking the compressor had enough umph to power it - not a chance. You need tools with a very low cfm requirement for a 24l compressor - eg. Will or probably be OK with a smart repair type spraygun but not a traditional one. For advice on how to set up a compressor to get the most power from it, look on forums like the mig welding forum UK.

200lt max free air delivery is equal to 7cfm (that is the piston displacement) in real terms you would get no more than 6cfm. Like as already been said, this would be of little use for spraying/air drills/grinders/impact guns ect. (Most of these tools will give an average air consumption. ......50% of what they really use. So people get duped by pie in the sky marketing jargon into buying a noisey poor perfoming piece of kit).

You better hope your Impax compressor never goes wrong as you CAN'T GET SPARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been trying for 8 months. USELESS product if there are no spare parts available.
