IMPORTANT: Carphone Warehouse cashback address has changed...

Ok, this isn't actually a deal but it's important to a lot of people none-the-less. The Carphone Warehouse chequeback address has changed. If you are sending a claim then make sure it goes to the new address. Claims which have been sent to the old address seem to have been forwarded for now, but I don't know how long this will last.

The new address is...
Chequebacks, The Carphone Warehouse, PO Box 4311, DUNSTABLE, LU6 9BJ.

Thanks for the info Ducky...I'm with e2save and if I remember correctly they are Dunstable for cashback...all part of the CW empire.

Posted this before but it seems relevant:

I had SERIOUS issues with e2save trying to get cashback. Personally I think they are theives. Luckily I complained to e2save AND Carphone Warehouse and Carphone Warehouse came through for me. E2Save still havnt responded. c**ts!

Anyway thought I share in case someone else is having issues.

is it the same for onestopphoneshop

and also i have that cash back coupon and wanted to ask what you have to write on the second question lol??

That's not good!

I've got a Cash Back deal with One Stop Phone Shop! Just hope there isn't any problems!

Thanks for the info too!

Now on my e2save 2nd contract. Never had any probs & Always found customer services very helpful.:prop:

Thanks - I have had serious problems with The One Stop Phone Shop, part of the Carphone Warehouse. They are only sending out 3 cashback claim sheets when i require 4. This is probably just another trick to stop people claiming money.

This post is very useful and others alike will be warmly accepted.

CPW and e2save have always been great woth cashback for me. Ive had 3 contracts with them.

i have had problem swith e2save too they were trying to skip my 1st automatic cashback. 23 months and the cheque didnt arrive eachtime I rang them same **** was muttered. "Oh it will arrive in 60 days" what ? how in a world something can take 60 days. Can they wait for their bill to be paid for 60 days can they ? no they will simply bar your line if you did so.

So, I went more official way wrote them a strict letter and sent it on recorded. Guess what within two bleeding days the cheque arrived, next months due cashback arrived one month earlier and I also had an apologetic a courtesy call from them.

Ooof..but in the end I got there...

maybe they will have a lot more money to cash back when they do'nt pay big brother any more money :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

thanks for the info dude

i had other issues with e2save but it gives me too much of a headache to go into it now. Let's hope my cashback will be ok.

Can someone confirm for sure that this is the new address for E2save and onestopphoneshop customers to? Because I had contracts with both last year and they were different addresses to each other.

As far as I'm aware no other changes have been made to the three companies and their cashback addresses are stated on their websites unchanged.

Thanks for the heads up OP, got one of these coming up.

thanks duck, but i think they have changed the address quite a while ago, as i have posted it here in Oct2006.

hotukdeals.com/for…783

thanks for remaining others though.

I just got to get my last cheque back frm CPW next month. I've given notice to end the contract, so as soon as me bill comes through, & i get my cheque thats it.

No way i going to bover with all that cash back stuff any more, i really cant be bovered with em.

I've just spent around 3 hours calling people and writing letters for my Mum's cashback claim through e2save. The people in the cashback departments are AWFUL. They will lie, misinform and push your questions onto other people (one even gave me the number for one stop phone shop!). It's all so dishonest and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Strangely the one stop phone shop people offered to sort things out for me if I couldn't get through to e2save (incredibly you can't get through to the e2save cashback dept unless you go through their switchboard and DEMAND to be put through as their direct line just puts you on hold then disconnects!). I haven't tried asking 1stop. It's strange how different companies (and possibly indiviual employees) are from each other even when they're both owned by car phone warehouse.

:x :x :x

just posted my bill for the cpw cashback offer regestered post of course and had a text 2 days later saying they had received it and will be sending cheque within 30 days result

For what it's worth, CPW have claim sheets on their website, you can print them out and use them (I just have, successfully)

Seems to be mixed reviews about e2save + CPW.

Personally, I've had 3 contracts with them and have so far been impressed. Bearing in mind I am comparing them to various other mobile phone companies I have dealt with who offer cashback schemes (Phones2youdirect being the worst, and who I will be taking to the small claims court later this year). E2save seem to do all they can to make sure you get your cashback (send you a text/e-mail to say they have received it, don't penalise you for forgetting to send off for a cashback etc.) and although I have frequently been on hold to customer services for a long time, they have always dealt with my enquiry.

One issue I have had had though was that they were £8 short on one of my automatic cashbacks. I phoned them up about this other week and they said they would send me the full amount of £120 :whistling: .... I didn't question it.... however nothing has turned up yet but I think I remember a staff member last year telling me they send out all their cheques off at the same time so it could take up to 30 days to receive, so I'll wait a little longer before making another enquiry.

I will continue to buy my phones from e2save. They might not be the most competitive, but if you get one of their clearance phones you can usually pick up a pretty good deal. The thing I like most about e2save though is that if you have any problems with the phone or accessories, you just take them into your nearest CPW for a replacement. It's special delivery at your own cost for most other online companies, not to mention the time you go without your phone, charger etc.

i am not sure whether it's the case anymore. i have assumed that it's true for e2save and osps. but in my recent experience, the cpw branches i have been refused to take my osps return in Dec2006, they say an email was sent to not to accept returns from osps (i assume it would also be true for e2save).

could be true for e2save though. someone needs to verify this.

I took a charger into CPW to be replaced which they did, no questions asked. But that was about 6 months ago....

Another thing to watch out for, with my carphone warehouse contract I have to send in the 4th, 8th and 12th bills to claim. Luckily I phoned them before the I sent in my first claim as I actually had to send in bill number 5, not 4! something to do with the first one is not a full bill. Anyway, I'm now doing my second claim and was just about to send in my bill number 9 as they said before. And through my door comes ANOTHER bill number 9! Both december and january bills have number 9 on them, I phoned them and asked why and they gave me aload of whaffle about a possible misprint. Personally I think it's one of the things they do to try and make you make a mistake.

I've got 2 e2save cashback contracts on the go (feb 06) and 1 carphone warehouse (july 06).
The first cashback from e2save took a long time to come through and when phoning their cashback line I felt that they would say anything to get rid of me.
Having said that, the cashbacks did eventually come through and the second set were processed with no problems.

The first carphone warehouse cashback was received quickly and without any hitches.

does a confirmation text message mean that ur definatly gonna get the cashback from e2save?

Thanks - have just phoned e2save, they confirmed address changed from Wednesbury to Dunstable. At what stage were they going to tell me - crafty. Saved me some time so cheers.

I've still got a text message on my phone now from e2save that says "We are delighted to inform you that your Cheque back application for this phone number has been successful. Please allow 21 days for receipt of your cheque".

I think that prior to this I received a different text message that simply confirmed that they had received your 'claim'. So until you get this second text I don't think that you are certain to get your money.

Send another copy of the bill to the new address (if you didn't send the original), I would be surprised if you got a reply to your e-mail.

Just signing up to a new contract with carphone warehouse and noticed they are quoting a different address than the one I currently send to. This is the one they are quoting:

Chequebacks
The Carphone Warehouse
P.O. BOX 4259
Wednesbury
WS10 7WZ

I guess that's the old one? Not sure if they're trying to mislead people by giving out the wrong address!!!
