I bought one of these from Amazon last year for around £25 on a lightning deal.
It looks exactly the same, looks like a common design, probably manufactured in one factory and rebranded for different companies.
Similar designs are sold for between £30 to £60 in eurocarparts and Halfords.
My verdict, works well, auto start with engine start means you don't have to turn it on each time. Lots of features, collision sensing etc.
Night recording could be better, hard to read number plates but can see vehicles and causes of accidents.

May look similar on the outside, but it's the electronics on the inside that matter.
Very cheap for a reason I suspect.
More spam from GearPest.

Don't bother. The picture quality is utterly appalling. Impossible to read a number plate 3m away. You might as well give your £8 to charity rather than throw it away.

same tat as the ones people ordered from tomtop, utter junk

Yes, do not order this crap!
The inside bits (if there are any) are not as described - this has been made specifically to con people.
After 3 or 4 'flash deals' crap dropping through my door it's time to stop biting on these 'too good to be true' deals, it's now clear to me this stuff is being produced specifically to con people.

Unless you plug in into a usb port, in which case it boots into data mode and offers to be a usb drive or a web cam....for your car???

Its better than nothing, but its a bottom of the pile dash cam.

Gearbest do tell us what processor is inside, a Generalplus 1248

If you look the specs of that up:- generalplus.com/1LV…uct

The GPCV1248A, a highly integrated SoC (System-On-a-Chip) for vehicle camera recorder, is based on a high performance and power efficient ARM7TDMI core operating at up to 144MHz and is enhanced with image, video processing, power saving, and system peripherals.

The high-speed MJPEG engine is capable of supporting up to 720P 30fps video compression.

So it is broadly equivalent to the Novatek 96220 processor used in very low end dashcams, but most likely even cheaper and inferior.

I would avoid dashcams that use Mjpeg encoding, they tend to be crap.
