Most of my tools come from Poundland, so this is premier league stuff.

£190 ha ha .
Yes probably where £82 .
1.3AH battery won’t last long .
Not bad at £50 .
To be fair that’s a bargain for £50 for someone who is starting out building their tool collection. Have some heat!
Rechargeable battery in drill always let me down. Only good for minor work before battery goes flat .

Heat from me! I have bought some titan tools lately, and am impressed with the build. This set at this price is a bargain!

If this is available in my local I will cancel the £85 Makita set I'm waiting on from Amazon
I got quite excited about this until I saw it was 10.8v. Nothing wrong with that but don't expect it to manage anything more than lightweight DIY.

If you're starting out you need to choose a battery platform which you're going to stick with so you can swop batteries between tools and buy 'bare' tools. Unlikely this set will do that for you.

I just missed the £85 Makita set! Would have ordered it. I would wait for the Makita personally. Was well annoyed I just missed it! Ideal set by a decent brand.

I'm sure the Titan set will be half decent too but I like my Makita tools.
I have a Wickes brand 10.8v drill in my tool box. Not a bad little driver tbh and great for light work suck as taking doors off or building IKEA units etc. Comes in handy as a drill too and keep it in the house. Came with a 30 minute charger and is ideal if doing any work off ladders for a screwdriver is required. Bought my son in law one and was really useful when we had a load of plasterboard to put up. Personally I don't see the point in buying expensive power tools for DIY use as chances are you will outgrow the tool faster than the tool breaks down. I still have a black and decker circular saw from more than 20 years ago which has seen some hammer and still going strong. A lot of people knock Ryobi but been using their gear for 10 years now and the only failure was a sander which didn't like plaster !
You probably had Ni-Mh batteries (old tech, not good). Newer Li-ion like this one are good.

Hang on in there for the Makita! Mine shows that it will be delivered on Saturday, you'll be getting a better set of gear by going with the Makita ones.
going to try my local tomorrow hopefully still on.

whats the makita deal i missed out on??
10.8v Would struggle to put a hole in a matchbox

That's nonsense. 10.8v tools are fine for many jobs, especially DIY in the home, it all depends on what you are using it for
Went to 2 of my local ones, not 1 single titan tool anywhere

Yeah, pity that but to be honest though I was actually thinking of cancelling this 10.8v set to go for an 18v LXT drill with a little more oomph. I've posted a deal for one that I'm thinking of buying where the seller has 20% off at the moment on Ebay.
Looks like Makita price was an error but you really don't need to pay the extra for DIY use certainly for drills. You want a decent saw cut then yes as all the cheaper ones seem to lose their settings and you are constantly having to adjust the angles for horizontal and vertical cut but at well over half the price sometimes it's worth the effort.

When I used to work for a joinery company we bought Makita and DeWalt drills. Had quite a few failures on the Makita drills and sanders. No failures on the DeWalt drills and all Makita Sanders were eventually replaced with Hitachi. Bosch blue brand also performed well.
Hi does anyone have the barcode?
