I bought this and it lasted no more than a week, the socket where the cable goes is not very robust and snapped very easily.
I am after one of these caddy's - any suggestion guys?
Bought a couple previously and they've been fine for me
yup i have one and it gets smashed around in my rucksack daily and in work and its fine.
Mine also has lasted well, though it is well looked after
This won’t work with a nvme drive I suppose

If it's 2.5"
I have two of these paid £4 for them around 6 months ago they are plugged into a mini computer with Virgin tv box 1tb drives in them Raid 1 Xpenology setup they work absolutely fine but the first one was faulty I told them and they sent me another one but I took it apart and found the soldering was a bit rubbish and had joined up to another solder point scratched with a screw driver and been fine since get good speed also.
Bargains!

Yeah I got 2 no problems
Acasis FA-08US

Aluminium case with a plastic tray, it has 4 screw holes to mount the drive/ssd properly and the ends clip in then 2 more mini screws to hold it together.

Much better design and the drive won't fall out if you drop it. It just takes longer to swap the drive

Multiple colours available aliexpress.com/ite…tml

You can usually just ask the sellers for a specific colour even if they only list black.

Uses JMS578 so supports UASP and TRIM (with some tinkering) on linux

They used to be £5-6 but are now more like £7-8
