Only thing left is buying a 4K Apple TV. Sometimes if you check the Apple website you can get perfectly fine refurbished ones for about £149. Great for the price of the movies, especially the 4K ones and usually have sales pretty consistently along with random price drops too.

It's more of an investment for the prices of movies pretty much.

Apple TV is pretty crap, I've only turned mine on twice lol... Nvidia Shield is much better.

Is their many 4K movies on it for the prices on iTunes? I was looking on the Google Play store yesterday for 4K movies and there weren't many at all, thought there would have been more.

Apple TV is good for cheap movies, and the Nvidia Shield is good for many other things. All depends what kind of thing you're looking for.

Apple are launching an Apple TV app for ROKU and Amazon fire TV later in the year. It's meant to be released in (Fall) Autum.

Although the size of them would quickly fill up your Apple TV box if you downloaded all your 4K movies. Plus what would be the point in downloading them since 4K movies are only really available on the 4K Apple TV box anyway? Although certain you can view them on their expensive macbooks.

Also, the TVs that have access to the Apple iTunes store you'd not really have anywhere to download them to either. So think streaming is probably the best most viable option. Just some people like to have them downloaded as they don't have a feeling of ownership with streaming movies, but it's the only option available so far, but maybe in the future. Who knows.

I have an Amazon fire 4K box and a Roku, I use the Roku due to the ability to to also use Nowtv. I just wish Sky would do a SkyGo app.

People also like to have them downloaded, if they have unreliable internet.

Apparently It was a studio stipulation not allowing 4K downloads, hence why Apple pushed for 4K at HD prices and the free upgrades as and when available as they didn’t agree we should be paying a premium on something we couldn’t download.
