Found 28th Dec 2009Made hot 28th Dec 2009
Independence Day with Will Smith only £3.00 in-store at Tesco.
Item was marked up as £20.00 but the label on the shelf said £3.00. I took this to the counter to check the price and it scanned at £3.00. The Tesco Entertainment website has this for £12.00.

This would be cheap on DVD but an absolute Blu Ray Bargain!!!!

Some peeps do make it up, there are some strange peeps about, but if there is any info on the receipt it all goes to help others track it down to a local store, we can then call customer services Freephone 0800 505555 with as much detailed info as poss to save a wasted journey HnR 2 op:thumbsup:
Also if everyone names the exact store, this also saves others a wasted journey or not!!

Great BR price for a crap film .

all bd should be this price

As for proof. It's there or it's not. It won't be in mine as my locals don't stock Blu, asking for proof for a reasonable deal that is quite likely seems a bit pedantic.

For a film this old, I agree entirely. imo BD should not be more than a pound more than SD.

Got this the othe other day from bang cd for £3.99 thought it was good on blu ray

well they are in the top 5 on HOTUK at the moment with a cheap TV? when … well they are in the top 5 on HOTUK at the moment with a cheap TV? when was the last time tesco where in the top 5?I call that fantastic publicity

I think you are over egging how big HUKD really is. If you think that Tesco would bother with such a stunt just to get this frankly tiny level of exposure you are deluded!?!? They could afford to take up every bill board in the country and advertise on every station in the world FFS, why would they bother?!?! I bet the annoying calls from HUKD'ers to their CS lines would be more of a headache than they would make in extra revenue?!?!?

Banned

Hmmm.... "average" film. £3. Would I pay that for the film anyway ?

Hi aefish

Welcome to HUKD and thanks for posting! Sometimes posters get a bumpy ride - don't worry about it.

Allan

I bought a BluRay player today and will nip to Tesco tomorrow to see what else is on offer ... even if some people dislike ID (I love it BTW - great popcorn movie) then £3 is s bargain for a HD movie. I'm looking forward to seeing what Blu Rays look like on Wednesday when my new TV arrives!

well lets hope you dont buy something off for sale/trade and then nothing … well lets hope you dont buy something off for sale/trade and then nothing turns up, and you just wished you had asked for a picture.Gullible

Let's hope I don't have to read your comments in anymore threads, rude imbicile.

Ive bought Ocean Eleven for £3, so I can confirm, that there are cheap BR in tesco. All you need is a bit of luck to come across them...

Hilarios comment!!

The film is one that promised much and then shot itself in the foot in a big way..... start was good with the invasion etc, but by the end they were plucking people off the street to fly fighter jets in a dogfight after a 5 minute pep talk..... hmmm, didn't it lose any credibility with you at that point???

Is English your first language?

Now, now everyone.

Enjoyable film at an equally enjoyable price - blu rays at £3 are a great deal.
Yes, it's no Gaspar Noë masterpiece, but for the price of a pint, I certainly can't argue.

Speaking on the actual blu ray itself after watching it a few nights ago i was amazed at how good it looked. Sound blew me away aswell.

I went to my local Tesco, they scanned it at 20.00, they also checked the computer on other stores.!
I didn't vote as Aefish wasted me a journey.
Suppose they be also gimps like this...

Agreed.

The killer for me in this one was the aliens had a DVD Drive!! Well they might have Blu-ray now they can watch this

Popped into my local Tesco this morning. It was marked up and scanned at £20.:x They did have the "Big Sale" on which was BOGOF on any title under the banner (Cheapest being free). Picked up Trainspotting, Casino, Constantine & Fast & the Furious for £24.00. Not bad!

Yes, totally correct...took it to till and it was £3..

garbage456;7361161

do you vote for BNP?

No but I'm a fully paid up member of the FUWSIPP

(Fed Up With Stupid Ignorant People Party):p

Not expired? - just got one for £3  - checked with three other stores in my area and they had all sold out (they were also £3)

Someone has put the wrong price on the system - they are also selling the DVD version in the sale section and that is £3 :whistling:

Thanx - voted hot
