Chicago may be for you then... Free Goose beer at the expo, at the finish line and at the mile 27.2 post race 'party'!

mrfinch

Better than Brighton offering, we got a non alcoholic pint at the finish, like talk about elation followed by anger and resentment, obviously they had a paid bar right on the other side, of course...... ;(

MrMoonX

Im sure you can get half a meal

MrMoonX

Eating out was the last thing on my mind after finishing last year, the nausea is real people

half-price week's trial i newspaper

They market this as a "trial" offer for a good reason... If you actually want to buy the I each day then it's cheaper still to actually subscribe: ie £55 currently for 52 weeks vouchers = £1.06/week or under 18p/issue over the 6 days Face value of papers 40p+40p+40p+40p+40p+50p = £2.50/week [note no Sunday edition] so £1.06/£2.50 = 43%, ie 57% saving - ie beating this 50% saving Personally I subscribed not direct with the newspaper but via a cashback'able site - eg iSubscribe [no connection to i ] eg currently 10-10.5% Quidco/TopcashBack so another £5.50 saved over the year ie 95p/week net = 16p/issue. Extra tip: check your o2 Priority App - probably have chance to claim a free i this week from WHSmith. PS: The i subscription vouchers are a lot more subscriber friendly than most other papers' vouchers - ie they just send 26 sheets of two columns of day'd Monday-Saturday vouchers (but not DATED) and they are valid for about 18 months and they send them all out in one go - so you don't have the hassle of (a) having to take the specific date, only the right day to the newsagent (b) nor needing to claim/return 'holidays' should you go overseas during the year (c) waiting/hoping they'll send you next 13 weeks or whatever in time (d) it's a one-off purchase, not an on-going subscription, ie nothing to 'cancel' or 'renew'.

Surely you mean 20-25p? It is 40p Monday to Friday and 50p on Saturday.

gnomechimpsky

I'd rather get Murdoch propaganda beamed into my head too. Voted cold.

ben1979

cold from me, nothing that the websites of skynews, bbcnews, or even websites like newsnow can do for nothing! all have proper news too!

jonny619447

"A real newspaper with proper news" all news is exagerrated. The only difference is whether the exaggeration is entertaining or not, and for me i am quite happy being told exaggerated news from the sun for 20p per day and I dont have to comit to anything for the privalege! Cold for me

To be fair, this page says "To download you free i newspaper vouchers please complete the form below" so everyone makes mistakes on their spelling. It's everything else The Sun does that's awful.

montblanc

Oh I got the deal from http://www.facebook.com/i so if they do anything in the future you might want to follow them. I think the offer is the only thing they've really posted!

TGHunter

True haha. The retarded political bias and anti-foreign is crazy, it's like the BNP newspaper. I only mentioned spelling mistakes because I was in uni the other week and read the front page in one of the stands and there was 2 spelling mistakes on the front page articles. :D Shocking.

ArthurDent1

Spelling mistakes are the least of the problems with The Sun

TGHunter

Great new newspaper to be fair, not very big in size too so perfect when on the commute etc. My new paper of choice infact. Forget paying £1 for a newspaper, and The Sun etc no longer comes into my thoughts since I'm over the age of 12 and can read/pick out a dozen spelling mistakes.

Good film, incredible transformation, Christian Bale apparently ate an apple a day to get down to that size.

Of course not. It's the total opposite: an insomniac who develops mental issues.

adam.mt

Agree with Dollar Dollar. You usually find it's stereo only and no extras; so don't think it's worth buying the paper JUST for the films. (occasionally they've lowered the bit-rate too; so can be hit and miss!) Would be happy to be proved otherwise though, if someone wants to post after trying today's out.

Dollar.Dollar.Yo

I always wonder about Newspaper screener DVDs actually. As dodoegg1 pointed out you can usually get them almost as cheaply in a proper DVD case and well presented - just wonder if the quality of transfer and such is as good with the newspaper ones. I've found it hard to get that sort of info.
