indesit are a rubbish brand... hotpoint fridge we had had a design fault and broke after 9 months... 1.5 years later i upgraded to a bosch.

Avoid like the plague.

If you willing to take a risk though as its cheap.. .just be aware it may break sooner than more reliable brands
My indesit washer dryer is still going strong after 6 years

With all these things I think luck is a major factor.

Based only on your experience.

Our previous Indesit washing machine lasted almost 20 years, not bad going for a rubbish brand.

Not sure about your link from the indesit brand to hotpoint fridge?

thats because they were built better 20 years ago!
Indeed new indesit and hotpoint (owned by indesit) are absolute rubbish. Just watch watchdog and theres loads of indesit/hotpoint products on there for design faults.

One had a main power cable going through the fridge door.. so that over the life of opening the door the power cable would break and electrifiy the metal fridge chassis!... what a poor design.. instad of going through the non movable area they go through the door !

Indesit = hotpoint, had our indesit washer for just over a year now, within the first 2 months the pressure hose split, 3 times, scum builds up and all the washing smells like mildew, despite cleaning it out constantly, never happened to our old indesit, which were better years ago, but just a cheap budget brand now. I'm keeping my eye out for a bosche or equivalent. this aint bad if your on a budget and don't mind it busting within a couple of years.
The fridge we had was a FF200e £400... Not a cheaper, nice look and all.. But the frost free design was flawed so that every 2 months it required a manual defrost (which required taking to bits the back bpanel of fridge and getting your hairdryer out. If you didn't do this ice would form, block the ducts to fridge and your fridge would run at 12º C spoiling your food. Never touch them again. I saved up more money on purpose and bought a bosch replacement.. its frost free and works perfectly.. can see the frost drips and being evaportate away.
I would never buy indesit again after the dishwasher we bought - the warranty company ended up giving us the money to buy a better brand
Please avoid Indesit and hotpoint at all costs unless you are lonely and wish the company of an engineer 3 times a week. I have had a nightmare with these. The quality of the products are shocking and nothing like they used to be in the past. I have had many faults with both a washer dryer and fridge freezer from new. Terrible company with shocking aftersales.
I am looking to buy a new machine. But this one is C energy rating so I think i will stay away. Thank you for all your input on the brand though.
Which? suggests that the IDV65 (the only difference being 65=6kg, 75=7kg), is a basic model and scores it 61%.

Its a bit noisy and lacks clever features, but for the price seems very good.

The IDV65 is priced at £149, so this indeed is a good price for a bigger capacity, although the link above no longer works, and searching for Indesit driers does not show the IDV75?

Ah found it in Sale items (73 in stock),

I wouldn'y buy a frost free fridge anyway, they are complex and will not last. Better in the long run to get a NON frost free or seperate fridge and freezer
Energy efficiency class : C

Will end up costing you more over life of the product.

Its a tumble dryer! They are inefficient due to the nature of them being tumble dryer!

Bosch do a few A+ rated dryers, Even Beko do an A+ rated dryer.
My mum still has an indesit tumble dryer from 1985. Thats 27 years! it still works, she still uses it and regularly, although its noisy as can be and is massively inefficient compared to my own (I guess). I wont be buying this though, I like Bosch!
You complete muppets going on about energy ratings and electricity costs. If you use a tumble dryer that much then you're an inefficient person anyway.

Most folk I know hang washing, in the garden in summer or on clothes horse the rest of the year. We have had a cheap as chips tumble dryer for about 12 years and it's still going strong. It gets used when I need something dried quickly, like one of the kids jackets or whatever but maybe only a couple of times a week.
or get a gas one, had my gas white knight for 20 years and costs next to nothing to use, even then I still rarely use it it and never in summer.

Is this a joke? Fridge doors are removable so you can swap which way round they open depending on your room layout. If there was a power cable coming from the main unit to the door it would be apparent straight away, and if you left it to flex and break I'd probably say you're negligent and endangering yourself!
Anyone know whether the person who orders has to be the person who collects. I want to order something for collect at store for my mother who lives 30 miles away. Can she collect it or do I have to go there with my payment card.
