The parts and labour for the extra 4 years MUST come from Indesit, the parts are free but the labour call out and fix charge is £109.99.!!! (that was for a small chest freezer which was going to cost £136.)I called them to ask about this,so remember this when factoring in a so called free warranty

I agree, same story with our indesit washing machine last week, ridiculous call out fee and rarely financially viable for a sub £350 item

When it does break down, it's usually much cheaper to buy the parts online and fix it yourself if you've got the patience, and it typically won't take any more of your time if you factor in the time you would have otherwise spent at home waiting for the repair man to arrive,

Most repairs aren't exactly challenging, and you may well find a video or two on youtube on how to fit the part.

For example when the bearing and shaft wore out and broke off on my 3 year old Hotpoint Tumble dryer last year, a complete bearing kit for it cost me under £10 from an ebay seller (the same kit fits many Indesit tumble dryers, quite probably including this one). Although fitting it was a little time consuming as several panels have to be unscrewed. Fitting a new element on my zanussi washing machine was a very quick and easy job and cost under £30.

For £20 more you can get the B rated (and bigger) Candy, I've never bought a dryer before, can anyone recommend as I'm a bit lost. Must be below £200

The comment is from the Argos product page !!

Better buying a secondhand Siemens/bosch

I have the hotpoint equivalent,TCM580P that I bought for about £200. It does the job fine

I bought this in silver last year £230 from ao.com and have been more than happy with it. Always worried about running costs but not noticed much difference tbh.

i have this its ok but just transferred a to a vented indesit its alot better and doesnt crease as much

Just ordered this, it's the newer model of our candy dryer, ours lasted 7 years with only the switch breaking which was an easy fix.
