Just brought a indesit washing machine in store for £183.20 in Homebase Bedford. Argos have the same product retailing for £209.99. Tumble driers in stock to take away too. No delivery charge always a bonus !! Was told about deals on Neff ovens & indesit products too, don't seem to be on the website but was on offer in store. Picked up some Dulux paint buy 1 get 1 half price..Collected Nectar points on washing machine & paint. Kitchen nearly sorted :-)

Yep love a deal..Been to wilko's and they have bits going on their kitchenware too :-) Indesit are the same company as Hotpoint I think as when we called for a repair they asked you pressed 1 for Hotpoint 2 for Indesit. See link for spec it's not on Homebase website but in store.Your text here

Just bought one here in portugal for £226. Decent enough but keep in mind that the machine does not have a timer ( that informs how much longer for the machine to end. it will though inform in what cycle it currently is). not too noisy (60bd i think) and has a program for shoes and fragile stuff. And for a washer that takes this much clothes/weight it is quite small...

Does not seem to have parkinsons when in max rotation like my previous siemens machine. Doesn't move at all...

800rotations will make aprox. the same noise as a dehumidifier or a portable AC.

I got one of those for my dad and am pretty disappointed at how long the cycles are. His old Hoover I could throw in a wash, have a coffee with him and a quick tidy up and it was finished. With this one I have to go back later as it takes so long. Still, it's a decent price if speed is not important for you.

Poor brand but at this price could be worth the risk?

If you want budget kitchen appliances with a better reliability record (eg from Which? users) go for BEKO.

Banned

its poor. mine after 2 years won't rinse on number 4.!!

I noe mainly use 15 mins wash. so I try number 3 cotton for a long wash which is 1 hours and 15-20 mins

good deal

Hotpoint & Indesit are the same company just googled it, so chances are if you buy a Hotpoint machine it will still have the same parts as Indesit machine would. These days it's really down to the name on the machine not the parts used inside. If u click on your text here in my comment further up it has the specs on Argos page

Indeed, ( Indesit / Hotpoint ) they are both as bad as each other.

what is the load capacity on this as we have the 9 kg version (which is the biggest they do)

I have been looking for a washing machine for the last week, the best one I found for the price and load was :
homebase.co.uk/web…935
Home base will give an extra 20% on the check out which will be for £189.59 plus delivery. I should order it tonight.

True...the cycles take too long. My previous machine (comparing the same program) took only half the time.

If you bank with Llloyds and sign up for their, "Everyday Offers", you can get 10% cash back paid into your bank account for items bought at Homebase. You have to use your Lloyds debit card as payment to get this.

My one has an eco button cuts time by a third
