I understand individuals may believe this not to be a deal and I understand the reasons why and I do apologise if ive upset those by informing people about a particular film which is available on iPlayer. Please understand this was not my intention at all to annoy or upset anybody. Please enjoy your easter sunday with your families and dont let my deal get you angry or upset. Take care and be safe everyone.

I don't have a TV licence, so does this mean it'll cost me over £140? I'd rather buy the Bluray collection.
Hey All,
During the current situation we thought it was nice to allow content such as this to be in deals. This is on the premise that any posted are only on the service for a limited time thus a deal- otherwise they are a permanent offering and would be moved to discussions. This doesn't differ much from deals such as xbox games being added to the subscription where it was previously paid and then made "free" for those with a subscription.

Lets not attack posters on each deal as the deal will have been approved by the community support team. If you have issues with a deal we've maybe overlooked you can report it or speak to us via our inbox.
Thanks

This is a deal for those who do have a license. its easter, please do not start a debate over TV License. Happy Easter!
Looking at the rubbish that BBC have got on telly today makes me wonder what on Earth they’re spending all the licence fee cash on?! It’s Easter Sunday and the whole day is gardening shows and Songs of Praise.
Does this mean we're ok putting posts up listing titles on Netflix as long as we state: (£5.99 Netflix subscription required)?

You can do what you like. As long as it’s something that wouldn’t ordinarily be on Netflix, as feature films wouldn’t ordinarily be available on iPlayer, can’t see a problem

Now seems as good a time as any to uninstall this app, getting notified of this nonsense everyday is doing my head in. This used to be a good resource for deals now it's reduced to this nonsense...
Great stuff, lovely... moving swiftly on
I don’t see the point of this either. It’s not a deal, neither is it a freebie as you have to pay for a tv licence to view it.
Are you just going to post every film that the BBC shows or are you going to post what is good based on your opinion? I saw Lost City Of Z on iPlayer when I just had a look, personally I think this is way more interesting than Temple Of Doom which, i my opinion, was a half hearted attempt at an Indiana Jones sequel.

Coming from a user who hasn’t posted a deal in 7 years. You do realise this is a community site where people help each other with posting deals. Im trying help people by letting them know that a particular film is available on iPlayer at no extra cost. Sorry I haven’t posted a film which you like instead of this maybe I should ask for you opinion next time?

Can these not be added as Discussion posts? They’re hardly a deal but I see the point you’re making. Surely the discussion tab is a better place for these, especially those of us who have notifications set up for streaming titles and keep getting iplayer films sent to our phone?

Mods get your rules straight. This should be in miscellaneous.

The poster is allowed to post this but it should be in miscellaneous rather than a deal. As a result of this you’ve led other users attack the OP due to inconsistencies with this site.

Surely all posts are based on personal opinions? This is why we have a voting system and some deals that I personally would be very good go cold and some deals that I think are with nothing, go hot?

Everyone is an individual and entitled to an opinion, which is the point I was trying to make. There are a lot of films on iPlayer, just what someone would consider worth watching is entirely down to them.
Great film but allowing these kinds of posts will eventually get people posting every new film or TV show on the iPlayer. Then other tv services and it'll just go on and on. It seems people post more to get their posting stats up than posting deals but if its allowed then so be it.

I really, really do not want this to go down the path of argument. You have your opinion, I have mine. You think this is a deal, I don’t. That’s the way the site works.
You can post as many as you like believing they are deal, I can then comment or vote accordingly, if I choose to do so.
Thank you.

Well said. Some people criticise these posts and then vote hot for the monthly PS4 deals which you also need to have a subscription for.
I appreciate both sides of the view but I'm sure we're going through such a crazy time right now that this pales into insignificance to be honest. Use the vote and either rate it cold or hot, or just ignore it.

Thanks for the clarification.

For your 40-odd pence a day, you get 7 or 8 BBC channels. Also their 10 national radio stations. And their 40 or so regional radio stations.
Also, its Easter Sunday, in case you hadn't noticed, and this is what they've pretty much always shown, because old people like it.

Don’t think saying “this is what they’ve always shown” is a valid excuse. They need to stick with the times. Would have thought they would/should be showing family films etc. I also know it’s only cheap in the grand scheme of things but I reckon most people will get more use out of the likes of Netflix which are cheaper and more relevant. Wouldn’t mind so much paying the licence fee if there was more good stuff on their channels. It might be just me who has this opinion but I’d bet money that a lot of people feel the same.

So, should I post everything on BBC 1 today?
You can't keep this, only watch it for a limited time.
The Arch Bishop's Easter sermon is available. Why isn't that in freebies?
Everything on iPlayer is temporary.
The bbc is a public service that has to cater for all in society. There are parts of the institution I don’t fully support, however for the price it is excellent value for money.
I know a few people who don’t have license, however, they still access the bbc for news and view live terrestrial tv and other services they shouldn’t without a license. I’m sure all of the people in here that don’t own a license wouldn’t do that
