Uncut version. The box set was classified as 12 for Crystal Skull, so they got Temple if Doom reclassified for the release.

Product description

In June of 1981 director Steven Spielberg and executive producer George Lucas introduced the world to Indiana Jones when the unforgettable Raiders of the Lost Ark debuted in cinemas. Exploding to instant acclaim, the film has now been carefully restored, alongside remastered versions of the archaeologist's other thrilling adventures-Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom, Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade and Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. Prepare for excitement, adventure and snakes-why did it have to be snakes?

Supervised by director Steven Spielberg and renowned sound designer Ben Burtt, Raiders of the Lost Ark has been meticulously restored with careful attention to preserving the original look, sound and feel of the iconic film. The original negative was first scanned at 4K and then examined frame-by-frame so that any damage could be repaired.

The sound design was similarly preserved using Burtt's original master mix, which had been archived and unused since 1981. New stereo surrounds were created using the original music tracks and original effects recorded in stereo but used previously only in mono. In addition, the sub bass was redone entirely up to modern specifications and care was taken to improve dialogue and correct small technical flaws to create the most complete and highest quality version of the sound possible while retaining the director's vision. The result is an impeccable digital restoration that celebrates the film and its place in cinematic history.

Alongside this, for the first time ever on Blu-ray, Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom is presented in its uncut format 28 years after it was first released in cinemas. The original release was cut in 1984 in the UK to obtain a PG rating, however fans can now witness all the gory cut extras in all their glory.

The installments in the franchise have won a combined seven Academy Awards. Relive every heart-pounding thrill like never before as all four films arrive together, for the first time presented in 1080p high definition with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio accompanied by a collection of documentaries, interviews, featurettes and new bonus features.

Hmm, tempted to buy but just d/l ed all the 1080p rips off yiffy

Why do they have to put the blue line on top? The dvd version is much … Why do they have to put the blue line on top? The dvd version is much nicer.

Like the Star Wars boxset, that blue line is only on the little paper slip that comes packaged with the set. Once you take it off it looks like this:

I was tempted, but I'll wait for a proper edition.

What will this "proper edition" need to have?

yiffy = cr*p quality

Finally bought this. £40 was steep but £22 seems about right. Looking forward to getting it on the TV now!

HD remaster of the Young Indy Chronicles?

Thanks for the information everyone, went for it !

their rips are always brilliant, I've got a few blu rays where I have done comparisons with yiffy rips and I could barely tell the difference, got to the best out there bar the actual discs?

I havnt even watched my DVD boxset yet which I've had years but I'm tempted to get this, good to see Temple of doom uncut as its the best sequel in the series and is a great film.

So is the version I bought at release last year from Tescos uncut, or do I need to rebuy this edition for uncut?
thanks

Are these the definitive versions? Is the CG truck going over the cliff jettisoned from Raiders, or is it still very much there - tainting the authenticity of the beautiful original production?

bargain, gonna see if this flubit give it any better

If it's Bluray, it's the uncut version. You'll know because it's gruesome, and everyone under 12 will run screaming from the room.

Don't know whether the truck made the cut, but it does have Lucas's original imagining of the swordsman scene.
