You’d need a slick tyre for the rear to even try it.

You would need something like this wiggle.co.uk/tac…059
I'd buy one at this price if it was nationwide

Voted hot

Out of interest, why can't you use a normal tyre? I wasn't aware you had to change them over, seems a faff

You can use a normal tyre but then it wears quicker

Thanks mate. Never knew that. I guess that means lots of rubber dust in the room with the trainer setup.

My treadmill gives off a lot of rubber dust.
Worth noting that if you use a static trainer on your bike you should have a dedicated tyre for it, as it will square off over time. Using a squared tyre on the road will provide less than ideal handling
The tyre gets very hot - you'll burn out a standard road tyre in no time

Plus it'll be very, very noisy.
Looks like this Newark branch of Lidl is one of the selected stores that sells off unsold stock at a heavy discount. We have one in Kingswinford/Wall Heath. I always slow right down to see what's on offer! I've had a long handled SS shovel for a fiver, a PIR LED security light for a fiver, and other assorted goodies!

Great price for an indoor trainer - I'll stick to riding outdoors though (even though it's really horrid at the moment!)

It'd kill your tyre
Not posting this as a separate deal, available in Lidl Warrington today at the same price, quite a few in stock.
