It's great fun! You can't say no to that price for what you get in the package :O

Thank you, booked

My wife and I tried this a few weeks back and it was brilliant.

I purchased a similar voucher for airkix. When you try to book online at airkix website they will ask you if you want to book with a voucher or without. If you select to book with a voucher seats availability and timings will not be good. But if you choose without voucher there will be more options. So in reality they are selling you timing which might be unsold anyways. I was scammed like this voucher and didn't got the timing which was otherwise available.

total experience 1hr, so basically 20 minutes safety vid, 30 minutes sales pitch, 7 minutes getting into equipment, 3 minutes in machine :-P

It does sound like that.

Anyone know for sure how long you get "skydiving" ?

Its normally about £20 a minute, i remember when i went, with a bad back.... my own fault, did 2 minutes. It was amazing, I felt it afterwards mind, until i drank myself to sleep

Just bought this cheers orig poster
Just to let you know theres loads of availability for the Manchester one, looked for Aug and Sept and all available

2 minutes in the air...

(From their details)...

The experience is valid for one person, and includes two flights. Each flight will last approximately one minute
The total experience, including briefing, gear-up and flights, lasts approximately one hour; but customers should allow 1 hour 30 minutes on site

Think this is still a very good deal though.

Edit... have just booked for this Friday at Milton Keynes, loads of slots available.

Cheers OP.

Hmm no London

It's a good laugh! 2 or 3, 1 minute flights, and it's more difficult than you might expect !!
good price !

Hot

Really enjoyed it when we went in Manchester

Got these for I think £25 for 2 people flight and it was great fun

Looks good to me

Just to add, I booked etc, and got my eticket to print off and bring along, but was concerned as it makes a big thing of needing a "hard copy" of any voucher used to buy the booking (says if not you will be charged extra, etc)

I emailed Airkix, about this, and they rang back about twenty minutes later saying that they are aware that with the Amazon Local offer there is no hard copy, so just bring a print out of my eticket.

I know when you breakdown its only 2 x 1 minute flights but having done this it is such a great and quite surreal experience and is well worth this price. Yes the voucher times are the off peak ones so usually early or late. Still ave to say it's a good price, although Airkix do have similar 2 4 1 offers frequently also.

Don't be worried about it only being a few minutes it's great fun! Sadly I was not very good at it, but fun none the less

so you fly 4 a bout 2 mins,so if you want 2 fly ,or floot 4 a hour,it will be £690.00 ,if am wrong, please correct me,,its given me
heat,when I saw you only floot 4 2 mins,,:p

I flew with Airkix in MK. Awesome experience. I'd also recommend paying the extra £5 for flying high. I know it seems short but the instructors aren't too strict

You can't floot when you've been drinking...Hic!

Have done this recently at Manchester airkixs and it was more expensive than this, but what an amazing experience! I definately want to do it again.

On your second flight the instructor will offer an assisted flight up the wind tunnel for £5 extra - so easy to get sucked in for a bit of extra thrill!

Hi,

I have booked for two people, but it doesn't seem to allow the same time slots to be booked?? So me and my kid can not go at the same time??

My boy will not want to go alone as he is only 6. Any info on this?

You don't actually get to fly for a whole hour! The sessions are all timed and you will be put into a group of maybe 20people with a time slot for the group. Each person will have 2 x 1minutr flights whilst everyone else in your group sits and laughs at your attempts to fly

Here is the video from my skydive experience it'll show you what happens!

No where near a stood as a proper sky dive..... But its a good laugh and makes a good gift

' a stood' = 'as good'?

I am worrying about the effect of indoor skydiving on literacy in this thread

Banned

i tried with my family .. had a grt fun and experience

My two boys did this last month. It was very good.

Things to note. The actual sessions "in the air" are short, but intense. However, having signed the waivers insurance etc. you can add a second session for £10 (it's advertised on the walls there). The main cost is the insurance.

The DVD they make is very low quality, but the photos they take are good. I got much better film using my iPhone 5s from the other side of the glass. I wouldn't bother with the DVD if you don't need to.

During the summer holidays they have a "kids club" which is £15 for a much longer session. Ring them and ask about it.

Finally, check your prospective sky-divers are not scared of heights or get dizzy easily. My younger son didn't like the experience as much as his older brother because on his second go he got dizzy.

I do not understand a word of this...

I do not understand a word of this...

That's unfair, it's readable for a little while (google translation)
"You fly for about 2 minutes, so, if you wanted to fly or float for an hour it would be £690. If I am wrong please correct me"

but then we enter another world, full of strange character combinations

You get put in groups of about 4-6. Have you got the times close to each other? If not, I would have a word at reception when you turn up, don't see why they can't put you together

Folks I can highly recommend this, been there done it and got the video. For those who think 2 minutes isn't long enough I can tell you it is - I'd also suggest taking the onsite add on special flight (you can ask when you get there - its amazing).

BTW - 2 minutes in a tunnel like this is the same as a 2 minute free fall from a plane - in essence you drop about 2 miles or there abouts in 2 minutes - except this is safe!!!

(_;)

Been There, Done That (today)

I was thinking of not bothering as it's a bit of a trek up for me, but i went in the end andI really enjoyed it very much. Thanks Op.

I do recommend going "up" the tunnel on your second go, the instructor completely controls the flight, a twelve year old girl and her mum (? ) did it just before I did, so I had to really.

EDIT... just tried my dvd and its not working in my Ps3, nor my laptop. it reads it okay, and I can see whats on there, but nothing happens when I try to play. Bit of a shame.

At present just the fact that there is no where near me doing it, so would mean at least a few days holiday away to somewhere, and due to getting married in the next few months i don't have any holidays left.
