That’s not how the Force works!

Imagine a wind tunnel that could be used for testing the aerodynamics of an F1 racing car, turn it upright, jump onto the airflow and you are skydiving. It's a proven concept operating in several countries to the benefit of the skydiving community and anyone else who wishes to taste the thrill of freefall in a completely safe environment.

After check-in there’s a short class with a video brief and instruction, then it’s off to collect your flight gear. You and your group will enter the tunnel and take it in turns to fly. You will enjoy two flights lasting one minute each; that's about the same as three tandem skydives. In your first flight you will learn the basic freefall position to then practise in your second session.

Key Information:
Location: Milton Earnest, Bedfordshire
Duration: The experience will last approximately 1 hour but please allow 1½ hours at the venue.
Group Size: It will be just you in the air with your instructor.
Weather Dependent: This experience is not dependent on weather conditions
Spectator’s info: You are able to bring along spectators to watch.
Restrictions: This experience is available Monday to Sunday, throughout the year.
You must be reasonably fit to participate in this activity and there is a maximum weight restriction of 114kg (18 stone). It is not suitable for pregnant women, if you suffer from a dislocated shoulder or wearing a hard cast.
The minimum age is 4 years old (under 18 year olds must be accompanied by an adult).
No qualifications or experience are necessary.
Your voucher will be valid for a minimum of 11 months.

Milton Keynes. Surely it's Milton Keynes.

Just checked out fine for me

The last time I tried indoor skydiving at boots it was more of a trip and fall. And it was free.

Thanks-just ordered two!

Ordered, hot!

£3.50 for delivery

Odd comment. Why would it surely be Milton Keynes?

Because that's where the indoor sky diving place is.

Oh, I only live up the road and was aware of the Airkix at Xscape. Just assumed there wouldn't be two so close to one another. Thanks for the info.

This is a good price to try it and I think worth it for a laugh. I enjoyed the one I tried. I got two goes in the wind funnel of 1 minute each and if it's your first time they are both 'learning' goes.

Not the same, but great if you can't afford to do the real thing.

Rrp is £99 when you only get 2 minutes? Even £20 seems steep to me :s

I did the Airkix one before, great fun.

2 mins don't sound much, but it is an experience you will remember (I think mine was 2*1 min)

2 minutes is about right same as the Milton Keynes one... If I was closer I'd deffo pick this up!! 4 hours driving soon adds to the bill even with 4 of us going. 2 minute sis a long time when you're in there and it feels amazing when you're on your own and can just make yourself fly up so quick and that :-)

[edit]
Actually stuff it, ordered 2 and going on a double date lol

Just received confirmation email, so going through at this price fine on boots verification.

Wow! I thought that my local Boots was pretty sizable, but if the Milton Keynes one has indoor skydiving, it must be bloody huge!

I believe its the Team-Sport go karting track near White Heart Lane

Brilliant! I wanted to take the kids during the summer holidays last year but couldn't justify the cost of it. Thanks!

Amazing! Thank you very much for this. I save my points to spend on things I wouldn't normally buy so think this certainly fits the bill. Nice freebie, very chuffed. Thanks!

have you got to pay postage

£3.50 delivery for a voucher. Sleazy.

Does anyone know anything about their Go Karting experience? Who is the actual racing company? Any good?

I've actually done this a couple of years ago in Bedford Bodyflight, and it cost three figures then! it was a great cheek wobbling experience that my brother got me for my birthday.

It was a bit tricky to find just outside Bedford and you end up getting about 5 mins "in the air", but definitely worth it for the "flying" experience. I was talking to a staff member there who was in the tunnel with us and he said he got the position through the job centre! he liked to show off with his Mate a bit,, doing Superman impressions through the exit tunnel...Also 5.05% TCB, through a dedicated link on TCB site - reckon this is going to be really popular, can't believe the price, maybe they are closing down?

Sweet, me and the little un did this at MK. Couldn't resist another go as price isn't SKY HIGH!!!

shame none available in Scotland

Just over 5 hours I've had in the tunnel now :). Great experience for 1st timers and £19 is a bargain!
