Game is £39.75 and £2 Quidco voucher brings it to £37.75. There's also cash back to be had but I'll ignore that for now.

Good price heat added, useful code too.
Excellent. That will do for my week off.
Last couple of games I bought from here came as ntsc versions. Even thief that had European cover art, when scanned to trade in had a bit of trouble getting cex to accept it as they said it was an international version scanning on their system. Good price either way!
Are PS4 discs region free then?

Yeah region free but I believe if you buy a game from another country and you want to purchase any DLC then it has to be purchased from the relevant PSN store
£38 for a game - and that's a bargain?
ok...

no-one said it was a bargain.. but this is a "deal" based on price elsewhere for a new release game on a next-gen console.
Quidco don't work no more
I'd avoid gameseek. My Tomb Raider I bought brand new came unsealed and was not the UK version.

Same thing happened to me. My second order with them also arrived unsealed and clearly had a "not for sale in the UK" label printed on the back. Won't shop from them again after those experiences. They can't list their games as sealed and then send out opened copies. They could be refurbs or stolen stock for all we know. Even if they aren't, most shops don't accept non UK copies for trade in anymore so that creates further problems. Good price for the game, but beware of these issues that will most likely come attached with it.
Cheers for adding the pic

Do you know how much it sells for everywhere else? You can get free games but that does not mean they are good always!

Unfortunately that's the trend this gen is taking. Last gen a bargain would've been anything £30 or less on release

Its not just this gen. Its how every new gen starts out, even last. Give it a year or 2 and prices will significantly come down for new releases
Simple truth is that games are getting more expensive to make. Combined with inflation, £38 doesn't sound to bad. Especially when I remember paying £30 for pokemon ruby when I was 9.

I don't remember games costing £50 last gen. £39.99 was the maximum

Games cost more to make but the amount of players has grown massively, the same big profits are there even at £39.99 a game- we only get our pants pulled down by retail stores that only seem to put the AAA games up £5-£10 in price when they know it will sell like hot cakes.

Any game over £39.99 that isn't a special edition etc then your being mugged.
Decent price compared to other places but this is a not a great game. It is very samey and gets boring rather quickly.

Very similar to Crackdown on the X360.

Not really worth it even at this price. Worth about £25 max,

Btw I sold this for £39 at game yesterday LOL winner winner chicken dinner

Yeah I agree, graphics were good I'll give it that but got repetitive very fast.
Still best price atm but infamous 1 is still the best.

PS3 was too
Paying anywhere near RRP for a game is paying a premium for early access.

Just hold fire for 3 months and you get it for sub £20

In psn store this game costs 49.99. Physical copy costs 45. So yeah, this IS a bargain mate

I did, price match £38 at cex and they beat it by £1 and I. Bought the elder scrolls online for 99p

Didn't mean cash, and it worked out the same for me as what I wanted was £39.99

Just to justify myself for you.

Just let the people who want to buy it do so.
This is dropping fast, will probably be £24.99 within a month.

Does this mean we need to add disclaimers stating "if you want this now, this is the cheapest."?

Of course games close to launch date are going to be pricy, that's a given. But isn't it during that window that a saving can help cool the burn for people as impatient as I am?
Game prices have fluctuated greatly over the generations, games used to cost £60-£70 over 20 years ago, yet people are complaining about a £10 price hike which still works out lower that what games have been in the past?, my guess is its new gamers that have only been gaming for 5-10 years , who never lived through the 80's & 90's

Now i feel old.:|

lol what games cost £60-£70?

The only games that used to cost that much were limited editions.

Commodore 64, omega, megadrive, ps1, ps2, ps3, ps4, xbox, 360, xb1, nes, snes, n64, gamecube, dreamcast, wii, wiiU, gameboy, gameboy advanced, gameboy colour, DS, DSI, 3DS, 2DS, 3DS Xl- all never had a standard edition that cost over £40

(Unless you shop at GAME when a new hyped up game comes out then its about £52.99 lol)
