.info domain for £1.16 including VAT

26
Found 21st Sep 2008
123-Reg are offering .info domains for 99p plus the usual 17p VAT for 1 years registration.

This offer will run until the end of 2008.
The offer is open to newly registered domains only.

Usually £8.99 per year.

chamelion edit:
godaddy does it for £0.92. .info domains have been discounted for over 3 years, you should never be paying over £1 for a new one or £4.50 for a renewal - £8.99 is an insult.

Welcome to HUKD ]Meekel!

Can't understand why this is cold. I just wish that it applied to RENEWING all the .info domains that I own.

bargain!

Good price - handy if you want a domain to use for a year - but the .info ending is about a tenner a year renewal as I remember.

Thank you very much

if you're paying more than £1 for a .info domain you're overpaying - this has been the case for about 2-3 years.

i.e. £8.99 is a joke. even renewing it should be £4.50 MAX.

Totally agree. normal price is under £1.

I am currently paying £15 every 2 years for my .co.uk name...

What would be the cheapest to tranfer to??

Who is robbing you off?

daily.co.uk
does new for £2.79 per year, £5.58 for 2 years
not sure about transfers

I recently moved all my .co.uk domains to daily. Its easy.

Get your current registrar to change is IPS tags to "DAILY" and you can go on the Daily site and transfer.

You dont pay daily until your current registration expires.

Regards

M

also remember quidco give you a quid for domain transfers!

That is ex vat.
6.56 for two years.

Be careful if you are trying to get ranking in google as they view .info domains as lower class domains than .com / .net and .co.uk. This means it is a lot harder to get ranked with them. I have experimented with a .net and .info domain and used the same strategy to get ranked. Got the .net ranked to #19 in 6 days and the .info has taken around 20 days to get to #53

True. This is because they gave .info domains away for free a while back,
and the spammers jumped on the deals to use .info domains. :x

Only bother if you can't get .com/.net or .co.uk for the name you want...

Dammmmm

Just registered with Daily and about to transfer my domain.
Now just had thank you emails from 2 other companys thanking me for registering with the daily email name I gave...... One was snapfish.... Feel I have signed up for JUNK JUNK JUNK.. They also have my postall address... Be warned.

Also be warned that quite a number of websites don't recognise email addresses ending in '.info' as valid and hence won't let you sign in or complete a transaction. I got bitten by this at www.memorybits.co.uk only this week!

There is probably an opt out on the signup form???

I would contact memorybits and ask them for allowing the email address.

I use telivo, only £2.50+VAT a year for .co.uk seems to be cheaper than daily

telivo.com/dom…tml

i don't get who's voting this deal hot, makes no sense to me...
telivo deal is hot for .co.uk

is the £2 domain sale from daily at quidco per order or per domain?

I use UKReg.com for all my domains. They charge a few pennies more.. £6.93 for two years on a .co.uk domain.. If your buying a .com domain you can get the .co.uk name free for a year..
