They are a very good company, I have bought 6 domains from them, handy for email forwarding. Quidco is always received. If you have a really long or rubbish email address just buy a domain and get a nice easy email to give to people i.e. [email protected]

good find. voted hot

When using 1&1 Internet, another cheap [email protected]

We purchased a number of domain names for 2 years.

They automatically renewed these without informing us (in the small print of their t & cs). If we were a consumer then it would be deemed an unfair contractual term, but since we are a business, we have had to pay.

If you are going to use them, then ensure that you have automatic renewal turned off.

Generally most people would want to renew, however it is pretty prominent once you login that there is an "Allow to expire" link where you manage your domain.

well i intend to buy/register at the cheap prices and then transfer to my own hosting company as I can't buy them this cheaply!

I use this company too. They're owned by Pipex. I'm very happy with them, and have always found their prices very competative.

We had the original domains pointing at another domain name. WE never needed to change them once set up.

An email being sent out 1 month before expiry is (imho) the least that they can do.

They are undoubtedly very cheap - but as I said, be cautious - cheap companies try and get more money out of you any way that they can!

Sorry, ignore my rants - this is 123-reg not 1&1.

99p for the first year then 8.99 a year , would be cheaper purchasing a .co.uk at 2.89 per year if keeping more than for 1 year .

LOL well edit your posts then, it's potentially off-putting to people reading.

quite a common price these days for .info.
godaddy.com selling at £1, no vat. far more flexible and much larger company, although 123-reg are great. I use them for all my european domains, co uk etc. and godaddy for anything else.
