Q: What do beta testers get for doing their quality assurance for them?, an exclusive money off offer code, exclusive game goodies only for beta testers?.

A: No, diddly squat. Bragging rights for beta testing a PC port, a game, a near perfect console game, that has been out for many months for console owners.

Meh... cold.

What are you getting? A free chance to try something out you're on the fence with? A chance to see how it performs on your system? A chance to send feedback on any bugs that have arose in the porting process? With thousands and thousands of possible PC set ups compared to few consoles it could provide valuable info for the dev to get something fixed before launch and avoid ruining some kids Christmas day

I won't be downloading as I have zero interest in purchasing the title... But if I did then what's the harm in trying before you buy? Especially with so many shoddy PC ports. You're not even obligated to provide feedback so you don't have to do their QA if you don't want to.

It shouldn't be a case of what you can get...
I like to see it as a case of 'I really like this specific game/series/game genre' and play to see how it is and how it could improve and give the devs feedback.

So what you get is a chance to play the game for free and before its release date and a chance to help shape it by being active on the forums/questionnaires etc.

Heat from me and I find it odd that you would rate this as cold giving the perception of this game to be bad to others when you have not even played it on PC I presume?
Correct me if I'm wrong, Regards.

As the OP, I thought I'd share this deal to give some people the chance to try out the game, BEFORE the initial PC release date which is on 14th, November.

I'll list some pros(+) and cons(-) that may help people decide what they want to do.

Pros:

• There's no reason as to why you can't try it before you buy it.
• You get to see how the game runs on your system. (Bearing in-mind, I have a GTX 970, I can run the same at around 50-60FPS on the High setting, however, I need to have filters turned off, things like FXAA, MSA, AA, are a no-go for me.)
• It's Free. (Don't see how someone can complain about something that's free for the time being.
• The game actually runs pretty well on a majority of systems.
•The graphics are great.

Cons:

• Requires some what of a mid/high-end PC to run.
• This Open Beta was released to solely test out net code. (They let you know this at the start).
• The game may crash during the first benchmark.

I know I probably haven't done much to influence your decision, but I've used the decisions that made me want to get the Open Beta and have stated them here.

Hope this clears things up a little,

Peace.

Lol, no. I'm too used to a comfy sofa whilst playing Injustice 2.
Nothing against Steam though, I have a healthy library of steam titles on PC. Steam 'specials' [tab] sales are just the absolute best!.
