This seems to be the iChill version though the Memory clocks don't match up with the UK version. Searching the part number brings up all Russian (I think) websites which corroborate the clock speeds. Nevertheless, this has been factory overclocked by a fair bit and it comes with a much better (and quieter) cooler.

This should perform on par if not a bit faster than a 4850 due to the overclock and with the better cooler, it should also OC a fair bit more. Only 6 left in stock

I know that but GTS250s cost around £90 so they're not directly comparable.

Also, how is factory OCs a scam?! My standard 8800GT (basically same card) only did a max OC of 660MHz core and 1940MHz Memory. This card is already faster than that and is likely to have a bit more headroom. Plus it's also cheaper than any other 8800/9800GT out there.

The problem is that it is a 8800gt and the gts250 is infact really a 9800gtx+ .. Hence one major reason to avoid nvidia for the time being and stop rebranding cards like this to confuse the user in that they are thinking that its a different card when it isn't

Nvidia's rebranding act is disgusting but that doesn't mean there's something wrong with the cards. The 8800GT/9800GT is still one of the best mid-range cards out there and gives a lot of bang for your buck. There's no reason to avoid Nvidia if you know what you're doing.

Oh well, I knew this wouldn't be for everyone. There're only 5 cards left now anyway.

pfft. get a HD 5670 for less instead.

The 5670 is also a bit slower and doesn't cost much less than this.

The 4850 Aria deal yesturday was much better, about 80p more expensive but much more powerful accross the board.

I don't understand what you're trying to say with that. The card is more expensive, a lot slower and has a worse (probably louder) cooler.

Obviously, that 4850 is the better deal but as I said, this deal won't be for everyone.

I agree, with DX11 support and new architecture. HD5670 will be soon better than the 9 series in the future. The rule of thumb is all new games will be optimized for new cards rather than old one.

4850 faster & same price sorry.

Good price for the card if you have to have an nvidia or want to SLI with another one though.
