Here's hoping but ppl have been predicting the same thing for over a year, every time it seems to be in decline it makes a sudden comeback...

I bought these too haha! If they actually do have stock problems I can get around that...
Crypto is here to stay but from a developer perspective, mining is growing less popular. Premined tokens will be more important in the grand scheme of things but there will always be the odd s**tcoin worth mining, sadly.

Could never get into the matched betting thing, stopped getting the offers pretty quickly so was never worth the while. Probably too late to get onto the mining train, plus i have 0 idea how to setup. Ordered one of these anyway and will see if I can get my head round it
I can not pass Delivery Options - it keeps on searching.
Hopefully change is in the wind, this seems awfully cheap in the current climate but it does seem like eBay prices are trending down a bit. Maybe it's the rumours of 2080 launch next month.

To the mining guy, are you happy to share numbers about what ROI you get
we have to expect prices way higher than now as there is not only gpu shortage there is other not less important problem - memory shortage which will drive this

Your energy provider takes titcoin?
tried different browsers, tried android, when change country its fine when choose paypal its fine but price goes to 616. Now i can not ad it to basket anymore. OOS?
Oos
Gutted. is the gigabyte worth the extra £70?
The price drop is also due to the rumours around 2080’s being announced next month at GDC

no the money made from mining does.
Are these really worth over double the RX 570/580 for mining? When people ask, I’ve always said ‘probably not’. The systems we have advised on have generally been all AMD unless someone intends to game as well to some extent.

I don’t think there were many of this or the other 1080ti as I tried to buy either of them a few minutes after it was posted and I couldn’t get then to be added to my basket on multiple machines and browsers.

Can't help thinking your name has a touch of irony ... eventually
Purple complain about GPU prices but this is less than RRP, right?
Just Realised this is a Cracking deal Considering paying 550 for a 1080
BUYER BEWARE

On the day of delivery, Laptops Direct order confirmation appears to say 'awaiting stock'. As seems to be a common practice, based on other reviews, they have oversold this stock. The reason given is their website and stock system does not talk to each other. The company set the online orders as 'out of stock' after an hour. Therefore, at this point, they would have known how many they oversold.
Payment was taken immediately, and no notification was given that the item could not be fulfilled. (It appears that stock is actually due in April.)
I was given the option of alternative items at much higher ticket values, which were in stock.

I just cancelled my order and reported them to trading standards. It is a black listed practice called bait advertising

Thank you for your thoughts - I will do the same - could you please post details of how you reported them?

It would be good to simplify the process of getting everyone affected to report them.
I put in a cancellation message yesterday, but not had anything back so far.
I also had this issue - customer service ignored my request for cancellation email, and sent the following automated emails in reply to it, both at a time that did not allow me to contact them. Note the 0871 number on the second email.

When considering if this was Bait and Switch advertising, please note the following in the second email:

"Our Sales Team will be in touch shortly to discuss alternatives. Our expert team will, wherever possible, be able to offer you a similar product to your first choice."

How did you end up getting your money back? My cancellation message went in 4 days ago, nothing.
I phoned - used the 03 number, and called early in the day, option 3. They had my number associate with my account on their system, so meant I did not need an order number. When I asked why I had no reply to the cancellation email, they gave me some crap about the graphics cards being 'like gold dust' and started spinning a story about their suppliers... the implication being that somehow because they were hard to get hold of, it meant that I should not have expected to actually get one, despite them showing stock... but, of course, they had some more expensive ones available, if I was interested.

To be clear, it appears that they had no interest in honouring the contract - don't expect them to do so when you call, or to offer an equivalent product at the price.

I made it clear that I expected an immediate refund, and that trading standards will be informed. To be fair to the advisor, they ran the refund immediately without further argument.

Though the company practice is blacklisted by trading standards, and automated by their system to maximise the time your money is in their account (sent emails 3 mins before they closed on the day it was due), the two advisors I spoke to seemed like nice people. Shame they work for scumbags.
Have just spoken to trading standards. I encourage all who are affected to do the same - individually, there is not much that can be done, but by logging the issue, we can build a picture about their practices to trading standards. Process was quick and straightforward, (took a 10 min call) details below from tradingstandards.uk:

Got a problem with a trader in the UK? If you need advice or wish to report problems with goods or services, bought from a trader based in the UK, the appropriate advice agency is the Citizens Advice Consumer Service which can be contacted on 03454 04 05 06

Anyone actually get any of these at this price? I ended up changing my mind about laying down this much on a card in the amount of time I waited for dispatch...
