I want this so bad ... Euro million’s is tonight ...
I'd just wait for the Dell Outlet to start selling these tbh. Picked up my 7567 (i7 with 1050 and 256gb SSD) for £550 in August last year

I can vouch for the build quality

Sure, it's never going to be an OLED 1440p like on the new Alienware range, but I've heard that the colours are pretty washed out?

I got one of these when you could get them for £670, the laptop itself is great but yeah you do look at the screen and go is that it apart from that it's a great laptop imo, I wouldn't have paid £1099 but that's purely because I didn't need the laptop.. I'm just bad with money and I saw a deal, so I had to buy it

This is indeed a solid, well built and powerful laptop. Hot deal for the specs, but my two cents is people are going to vote cold as they got this a lot cheaper weeks ago like me or they got this for the same price with the visors thrown in. Heat from me though!

Aw no way really? I just ordered it too I had been looking at others for the last few days just under £1000 but this was a lot better for the extra £100

This is the IPS screen though, not the old TN, so it will be better than last years model

I am no screen expert and mine does look slightly washed out but I also wasn't expecting an OLED and for IPS, I am very happy with it and don't notice it when gaming. I actually only notice on the home screen before I boot up a game.

The build quality is really good as well.

Where did you find that, the only one I see for the same model and specs for that price is for £880.26 and lists it as it having scratches and dents? recertified one costs £919.27.

Just wanted to check if you also got the visor with yours? And if so, how is it?

I originally didn't get the visor then Dell customer service called to check my laptop was ok and I asked about the visor and got it sent without any issue. Haven't had chance to open it and might sell on but wanted to see if you played with it.

Its a shame the bezels look hideous but other than it's good.
Thanks for posting. I'm personally happy to wait till it goes under £1000. Don't need a new laptop atm but this ticks most of my boxes

Yeah I got the visors in the end so for the £669 it was a sweet deal. I decided to keep it as they were free and use them but I wouldn't have gone out of my way to personally purchase them and that goes for VR overall not just dell's. I think they are impressive and have a lot of potential but I have not used them enough to really give my real honest opinion. If I were you I would just keep them and make use of them seeing as they were free and all the hassle to get them. Also steamvr (currently in beta) is now available to use on windows mixed reality which you can either download free apps/games or purchase them which is good. I am sure there will be more things coming to the VR world!

Hi Tireeq! Just to offer my 2c aswell as another from that thread. They're definitely fun and worth messing around with, I don't have kids but would imagine they would enjoy them a lot. Limited support at the moment but you download 'revive' you can basically have it function as an Oculus Rift which allows you to play most titles on them flawlessly which is great.

You'll get around £200 on Ebay which is not too sad if you really need the £ but I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of selling on.

As for the laptop itself. Can't fault it. Missus mainly plays Sims 4 on at the moment which it runs flawlessly on high gfx and doesn't really run hot. The fans do get a bit loud at time but it is a gaming laptop and to be expected.

Played a bit of Rise of the Tomb Raider on TV and it coped excellently too.

Because you can’t buy it 2 weeks ago anymore and you don’t know it’ll ever be back at that price. If this is the best price currently then it’s a deal.

Also got one at £1099 with a visor + controllers.

Laptop is lovely, metal case is nice, looks classy, good performance, good keyboard, USB 3 thunderbolt so you can use an external GPU in the future. Screen isn't great, feels a touch dim, the colors aren't fantastic and the bezels are noticeably on the thick side. That said, it looks plenty good enough for work and gaming and if your plugging a VR headset into it for games the screen isn't such a big deal.

Visor is OK, I already had an oculus rift and wanted the laptop to use that on the go, so the visor was a nice bonus and I was excited to try it. Compared to the rift its no where near as good, but it does work and have some plus points. You can run VR chat on steam fine and don't need to worry about plugging in 2 camera sensors for the controllers to work reasonably well, downside is the controllers only work reasonably well and the performance is a lot worse compared to Oculus which is heavily optimized and slightly lower resolution so takes less GPU power to run at a good FPS.

I'd definitely buy the laptop again at this price, if your thinking about Visor I'd recommend you seriously consider the rift instead, or see if the original Vive has a price drop coming since they've announced a vive pro.

I think that would help me to decide buy it now or wait a bit.

Sometime I did miss some hot-uk deals and then I kept tracking the items and by lucky, I did get some with more favorable price in the end. Of course, It really depends on what type of products. So I always thanks OP and those who put effort to leave comments.
Heat from me. Incredible spec. Nice to see it's the 6GB and not 3GB version of the 1060.

To be honest, the only deal that was legit a few weeks back based on this laptop was the one which is the same price as this but it was a bundle that included the visors. All the others were glitches, therefore were not actually a deal. 😏

Thank you and @mastermjr20041 for the inputs. I wasn't expecting the visor and wouldn't have gone out of my way to buy it but happy to get it for free. I was hyped for VR when the psvr was coming out but not bothered since so good to hear some feedback. I will probably play around with it but eventually sell to further reduce the laptop price.

Also, can normal games be played with the visor projecting a large flat screen? Big screen gaming without the space issues?
Don't forget there is 8% cashback on TCB, which comes to £95.62...
