Far too expensive for a very mediocre spec. You can get a new laptop with a 1060 for this price, rather than a refurb with a 1050. Cold from me I'm afraid.
I have this but the 256gb ssd and 1050ti version. Brilliant laptop.

Cold - £40 second hand laptop does same job
I paid 1100 from JL bout 6 months ago. I use it mostly for gaming and editing. Handles Ark and Pubg very well.

Any links?

One there, also had a couple of dell ones pop up on here recently. Sorry for not posting a link earlier, I'm on mobile so it's a pain!
Considering this was available with 1060 6gb 16gb of ram for £669 new kind of kills it albeit being misprice.

Do you have to have it plugged in to get full performance from the GPU?

Its like that with the 1060 version. Wondering if it's the same with the lower wattage cards.
Wow, did OP even look at the specs before posting... then I saw refurbished and nearly spat my coffee all over my £669 Dell glitch / voucher destruction 7700HQ, 1060 6gb laptop I snagged a couple of weeks back

What a deal that was. I love this thing.

But yeh there's been loads of deals for similar spec laptops to this 1050 model going for less than £700 brand new.

COLD.

Plugged into power? Yes but easy to unplug if I want to travel with it on use on laptop.

This has no ssd and is a hp laptop (awful build quality) and it' an extra 200 quid.

And how anyone can say they got something on a glitch so this ain' a deal is beyond me. A glitch is not a deal this is. And may i add you get 10% off on your first purchase through Dell outlet making this close to 730 if you qualify

Yep but comes with a virtual reality headset you can easily sell for ~200. However, if you're dead set on getting a mediocre refurbished machine for top dollar then feel free, you don't have to listen to any of us.

Again how is it mediocre? You have yet to show anyone a deal at this price and at this spec? So as deals go this would be a good one.

Unfortunately you can' comment it is not good because it don' have the spec you want. If you got an extra 200 quid great go for the 1060 but if you have not this is a great spec laptop for the price.

Also with the 10% first order it' even better

I have also noticed half the amount of ram too. Which will be a problem if your running a 1060 and you want to get the most from it. Mixed reality at most your looking 141 (that' what cex will give you anyway) plus market is going to be flooded with these headsets because of these deals so might be less soon.

In which case I'd go for this one then. Even if you only get £140 for the headset (you'd likely get more on ebay), then you'd be picking this up for £960. Meaning you'd be spending an extra ~£100 over this for a brand new laptop rather than a refurb, with a 1060 rather than a 1050 which provides vastly increased gaming performance. Has 16gb of ram and its a dell.

Personally if I was spending around the 800 mark on a bulkier laptop (as opposed to an xps/air etc) then I'd want a 1060 and I'd definitely hold out for a deal on one. But horses for courses

Again it' 1100 pounds not 800 how is it even comparable? That' like saying here is one costing 1700 pounds with 1070. Its a much better laptop but it will cost you more makes no sense at all. I posted this for people who are on a budget of what I have spent! You have still yet to produce anything with this spec at this price, and if you can not how can this not be a deal?

Alright dude, personally I'd spend the extra ~100 and get the one with the 1060 but it's horses for courses. Have a good new years and I hope whichever laptop you chose is the right one for you
