If you dont mind a few scratches, there are plenty of these in the Outlet at present.
When you land from this link, remember to sort by Stockroom, Model and Price to see the range available. There are about 10 of the following spec at time of posting, i will update here as stock decreases. I have set this for only 1 day validity, it will auto expire tomorrow as the stock is sure to be gone by then.
Please dont expire this if you cant see a system, as the stock rotates in and out of view during the day. So if you are interested and dont see a system, check later.
If you don't want a scratched one, you can filter them out. Notice the 3 check boxed at the top of the filtering options for Scratch & Dent, Refurbished and "previously ordered new". For definitions, check the Dell site.
Risks: It comes in with a horrible scratch and you hate it.
Solution: Send it back under the 7 day return of goods.
Good Hunting!

We happened to have ordered one of these a few days ago. When searching the Dell Outlet website I unchecked 'refurbished' because we didn't want a refurbished laptop. We chose instead the 'scratch & dent' option. My understanding was that these were items which had either been damaged in production or returned as damaged by the customer. The laptop which arrived this morning is clearly used - it has what looks like the remnants of food in the keyboard. Dell have agreed to take it back, but it is a bit disappointing. Presumably if it has been used long enough to get food in it, it will have to have been 'refurbished' back at Dell in which case 'Scratch & Dent' implies 'Refurbished' as well ?!?
You are right. I wanted to return my Inspiron 1545 according to Dell the eighth day and it was reject…the Dell service from the order to the post service is very bad..I had the big problems with delivery UPS service and with Dell costumer service..everything liquidate by phone from Madrid.

Inspiron 1545 is one big **** from Dell. It warms up very quickly after 2-3 hours you cannot write any email. The computer stops. My opinion is that processor is not potent, its performance is not good; the battery is very weak, it maintains only half an hour without source of alimentation..
To write this comment I have to clap each letter twice or three times to the key board to appear these letters on display…horrible. My mum who has 63 years told me that she has never tried worst computer…I cannot not recommend it to anybody..
