This is an excellent fryer and unmissable at this price.

The best features are the large cooking area, viewing window and the pre-heat function.

One tip for any new owner: when following the instructions on operating for the first time you’ll be advised to run a particular preset program for a certain amount of time. DO NOT FIT THE FILTERS UNTIL YOU’VE UNDERTAKEN THIS PROCEDURE.

You’ll notice a slight burning or unpleasant smell when doing this step and if you fit the filter first you’ll forever smell it every time you cook, at least until you replace the filters.

Is it worth buying the extra filters?

My air fryer is on its last legs, being in almost daily use for three and a half years. So this couldn't be more timely. Ordered today. Many thanks.

Edit; to answer my own question I found this
    homesandgardens.com/rev…yer

It's 20% smaller than the Instant Vortex 6-in-1, which is remarkable given that they have the same capacity. However, the original Instant Vortex is better. It has a window, so you can monitor your food as it cooks, and smell-cancelling tech that banishes fried-food smells from your kitchen. I think that this is a great air fryer for families tight on kitchen space. There's better out there, but if you want big portions cooked quickly in a relatively small appliance, this is hard to beat. (edited)

Crazy price for a great airfryer. Got mine last year from JL at double the cost !

Had this a couple of years minus the odour erase.. was pretty good. The plate had started to lose the non stick though .. never washed with anything besides a sponge and always left to cool down first. It's got a good large square pan which was great. Upgraded to a ninja and that one does cook food a lot better than this. But it's still good and a great deal
