Instant Free £5 & Cashback with Amazon Credit Card

Take up Amazon Credit card offer and get
£5 credit to your account,
2% of Amazon spends using the card as Loyalty Points, &
1% on non-Amazon spends.

1,000 Loyalty Points = £10 Gift Certificate, so by my (rusty) maths each £500 spend = another free £10.

You can do this when you are already buying something, £5 is added to your gift-card balance at once so you save £5 immediately and card is automatically shown as your default payment method so you get the 2% straight off as well.

Obviously its credit card, do not do this unless you pay balance in full each month, etc.....Link leads to T&C.

Has been around for a while but cannot find it posted already.

I was going to apply but Amazon contact your workplace and I have only just started a new job, think I will leave it for a few months.

Er, no they don't contact your workplace. They do ask for a work phone number, I gave my own private mobile number and no problems with that

It sounds good, but in actual fact, Amazon closed my account without giving me any reason. So, will I still get any benefit from them?

For you....no.

The best thing about these cards is that every month mbna send me letters offering 0% deals on bt and cash transfer for 12 months.
I suggest people get the MBNA everyday card as its a lot lower apr (12% I think)

These cashback cards are only good if you pay off in full each month.

So are all credit cards.

Good deal for the cashback if you're not going to pay interest.

this offer has been there forever for the last 7 years or so....

I got this card back in May and then you got 3% cashback on all purchases for the first 3 months followed by 2% at Amazon and 1% everywhere else plus £10.

Best in the market is tesco credit card where you get 2% in clubcard points plus you get x4 times the boost in vouchers.
Cold from me...

That seems a great deal but I can't find it on their website. Can you please provide a link.

Thanks.

I've had this card for a few years, I pay off the balance in full every month. It's my main credit card and I would give it the thumbs up.

As some people indicated here, cash back cards normally attract a higher rate of interest so if you don't pay off your balance in full every month you'd be better off with another card with a lower interest rate.
