Instant Pot Duo is a 7 in 1 automatic Electric Pressure Cooker that speeds up cooking by 2-6 times and uses up to 70% less energy and, above all, produces nutritious healthy food in a convenient and consistent fashion.

Instant Pot Duo functions as a 'twin pressure' pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, saute, yogurt maker and warmer all in 1. It has 14 built-in smart programs (Soup, Meat/Stew, Bean/Chili, Poultry, Saute, Steam, Rice, Porridge, Multigrain, Slow Cook, Keep-Warm, Yogurt, Pasteurise and Fermenting) cook your favourite dishes with the press of a button whilst you get on with other things.

A 24-hour timer allows for delayed cooking. Automatic keep-warm holds the temperature of the food until you serve it for up to 10 hours.

Instant Pot generates almost no noise and leaks no steam. It traps all the aromas in the food without heating up the kitchen. The slim body design has smaller foot print and lid holders for both left and right handed users. The brushed stainless steel exterior is finger print resistant.

Duo uses the 3rd generation technology with an embedded microprocessor, which monitors the pressure and temperature, keeps time and adjusts heating intensity and protects you with 10 proven safety mechanisms and patented technologies.

Great deal. Best kitchen gadget I ever got.
This is a great price for this! I bought mine on Prime day for £69.99 and can highly recommend them! I was hoping the larger one was going to be on offer as I really want the 8L
Great deal! Love mine.

No different.
The SV mode is reported to not even work that well so I haven’t been bothered about getting the new new model

Don't throw out your slow cooker yet. The slow cook mode in the Instant Pots is not meant to be as good as actual slow cookers. The temperatures aren't as high so it takes longer for your food to cook. The other functions on it are good though.

The crockpot one doesn't have a stainless steel pot like the Instant Pot one, so the pot won't last as long. The crockpot one is non-stick so it might scratch and come off over time. I'd get the Instant Pot over the crockpot one. Especially at this price.

sorry, what? This isn’t true - and the whole point of a slow cooker is that the temperature isn’t high...
Bought thank you...great price...and had a £5 voucher on my account so £55

I'm not saying the temperature on a slow cooker is meant to be high. I'm saying that the temperatures on the Instant Pot aren't the same as on an actual slow cooker. Instant Pot has three slow cooker settings. Less. Normal and More. Slow cookers usually have Low and High. On many websites they say that the Less on an Instant Pot is very very low. The Normal is the equivalent to Low on a Slow Cooker and the More is like a medium high. The more isn't as warm as the High setting on slow cookers. If you only use the low slow cooker settings, you will be ok. However, if you use the High slow cooker setting on your slow cooker, you will have to use the More setting on your Instant Pot but run it for longer than you would on an actual slow cooker.

In my view there is a lot of misinformation on this and a lot of point missing (not meaning that aimed at you more around some of the incorrect "purist" views on the internet).

1) Nearly every slow cooker I've ever seen has three temperature settings not two - in fact the only one I've managed to find so far that has two is the original Crock Pot.
2) The temperature and cooking may be different but theres a huge difference between "different" and "not as good". For example, assuming that what you have put here is accurate (which I would dispute), a slightly lower temperature for longer is actually better for slow cooking, not worse. (in fact, everything I have found again does not imply that the high on the instant pot is less than the high on a slow cooker, more that they are loosely the same).
3) The main area where the slow cooker is probably out and out better is for very dry foods. This is due to the way the slow cooker heats, it is more of a 360 heating as opposed to the instant pot which is more from the base.

Obviously, everyone should go for their own personal preference. But fundamentally "slow cooking" is not complex (!) - its a long and low heat, which the instant pot does admirably.

None of this of course addresses the point that the pressure cooking element gives you many more benefits over slow cooking.

But Ninja is 2 in 1. Pressure Cooker and air fry.
Its amazing, I paid £119 for mine last year
Edited by: "seagullz" 29th Nov 2019
having bought the ninja from costco, i am now wondering if it was worth the extra or not. im not sure how much air frying i will be doing....
Got this for £50 squid after using amazon voucher as well thanks very much ( hubby won’t be happy though lol)
Thanks oP! ordered!
I already own two electric pressure cookers but i have always fancied an "instant pot" simply because there are so many recipe books written just for them, but now i am tempted by the Sous Vide Bertelin Digi Cooker as it has more functions, better control and it is cheaper
Good price! I'm now confused between this one and the newer SV model that Costco are selling. Which one should I go for

Fairplay, just going by the reviews there.
Didn't see a single positive one for the sous vide function.
Glad it's worked well for you.
Have the used this none sous vide version and can compare them?
Don't know how much the SV version is at Costco.

Ahh, it's £71.98:

Need Costco membership though which I don't have. That's £15 for online membership
Edited by: "Shinoke" 1st Dec 2019
I didn’t use the nonnsous vide, I have Ninja foodi and if it wasn’t for the addiction on the Instant pot I would have gotten anothe foodi. But my sous vide immersion stick broke down, so I got this as a replacement.
Yes, the membership does make it more expensive. But apparently there is five year warranty for products sold by Costco, never tried it, but I am told it is worth it.

Buy extra rubber seals for the lid - use one for savouries such as meats, curries, soups, stews etc. Use a different one for sweet stuff such as cheesecake.

They retain their fragrance over time which can make sweets smell of stew or curry.
