mine is getting delivered today. is there anything i need to buy in addition? like greaseproof liners or something so i dont have to clean it all the time?
    Avatar
I get five or six uses out of mine before I clean it, the crispy burnt bits add to the flavour ....

I have this and it's an excellent product. Great price too.

I have this and the Ninja Foodi. This is a cracking air fryer but the ninja wins hands down as it has so many more functions and just has a better build quality.
    Avatar
    And the ninja costs?

Thanks! Finally joining the air-fryer bandwagon.

I got mine, and bought curly fries, ribs and whole onions rings. I put my garbage tower one off to the side, going to give it to my ex.

cracking price. sell Ninja and buy this, it will give those that need it, a few spare £££. Will still end with exactly the same taste and quality to your food.

They are not even the same product. It's like comparing a bike to a scooter. The Ninja has 2 baskets. If I was a single person then this would be ideal, but I'm not and need to be cooking more than 1/2 products at the same time. Single basket fryers will not be a suitable replacement for those that need and use duals - it has nothing to do with price or brand (I hate Ninja BTW, before you think I'm a fan)

For those who have this. What does 5.7l mean in practice? Enough chips for 4 people?
    Avatar
Yes, I have this for family of 4

Yes enough chips for 4 people or a medium chicken
I have that tower rotisserie one, and you cant even get a very small chicken in it, and you cant shake your food to ensure even crispiness, so I just bought this. Was going to post it, but seems my old account has been deleted for some reason, have contacted mods.

What are the exact dimensions of this model? I'm thinking of getting a 3.8L basket one as the 5.7L one seems a bit too big for my kitchen.

Good price. I got it as I already have an Instantpot pressure cooker. I found I could not get rid of the new (plasticy) smell despite trying all the recommended methods. Sent it back and purchased Cosori.

This or the Gourmia one from Costco? I know it's not in stock at the moment, but not sure whether it's worth waiting for it to come back in stock
    Avatar
The Gourmia one is 6.7l and a great air fryer. I don't have this so can't compare

Ordered. Never been on the air-fryer hype but at this price why not. Hopefully i'm not disappointed

Air fryers are great, but I would make an observation comparing mine to those of friends. I have the Philips one (they brought them to market first) and it has a wire mesh base to the 'basket'. Most of the others I have seen have a solid base to the basket, that just has holes in it. Doesn't need an engineering fluid dynamics degree to work out that that will affect the hot air flow. More practically, I can say that the mesh is a breeze to clean, compared to the solid metal ones, where the fried food sticks to it, as it would to the bottom of any pan or roasting tin. Hope that helps someone. Maybe other brands have the mesh base too.

Bought this one recently while I still look out for the instant one. It's a bit smaller in size but got good reviews:
