Nope its easy and probably easier on older laptops!!!

Just buy a cd/dvd removeable drive cartridge - installs where the dvd cd drive usually goes (if you have one).
I have one for my old Dell D630 and Dell D830 proprietary connector but haVE AN ORDINARY SATA ONE FITS my Dell E5530 so you can have two hard drives - great for quick backup and storing all yer data on.
OS on the main drive - 64gb is enough
Swap file and programs on the second 120gb drive and data backup etc

£3.16 on ebay!

Cheap definitely just got cheaper.
This is getting ridiculous now! Great price
I bought a couple of these when they were £20 odd, they are pretty good. At this price there's no excuse!
Anyone know how these compare to the V series?
These are faster than the V series V for value and P for Performance doubt you would notice much difference on the other hand I would never buy from Mymemory again after the shoddy experience I have just had with them disgusting company as far as I am concerned if you ever get a problem

These have faster read and write speeds - Read up to 560MB/s, Write up to 540MB/s. V series has lower specs Read up to 500MB/s and Write up to 400MB/s.

thanks
heat added. Thanks

Loving these ssd deals though. Less than £20 For an upgrade that arguably will be more noticeable than any other part of your pc etc. Its great. I remember paying £400 For 2x 60gb ocz vertex ssds years ago
This is so good I'm going to buy some for friends and family even though they'll have no idea what it is or what to do with it.
HEATx3!
Good find just purchased last week at higher price😔

Yeah I've been telling friends still using hdd as os drive to upgrade everytime I see these deals.

At this price how could you not automatically upgrade any pc you own. Regardless of wether you play games or not it's a no brainer.
Needed none, bought 5. Thanks!

Good in that it increases capacity, not speeds. You might aswell just buy a Samsung 850 evo for 60 quid though on here instead of buying 4 of these.

It was the SMART thing to do.
Perfect for my Plex server as a metadata drive!! Thanks chanchi!
Ordered 15 mins ago, not had confirmation email from my memory yet. How long does it normally take?
This is a great deal, i paid around £30 for one of these around six months ago. My experience of it is that it has made my old dell laptop quicker as retrieves data much faster than its old standard hard drive, resurrecting my old lappie.
edited later,:
my old lappie is an inspiron 1501 running xp, now runs windows 7 no problems.

How to add this £2.5 Bonus?
Looks around for anything else left to upgrade. Errr..... can't think of anything else to put an SSD in!

I suppose I could get the Pi B 3+ booting and running on it via an adapter?

Hang on, I think I've just found a use for the old 20GB SSD I had in a draw.... Thanks OP!

Log into your quidco and it should show up as banner on the homepage. You should also have got an email about it.
awesome, my new laptop came with 250gb sata mv.2, leaving free SATA drive space, 120 gb will do me nicely
Hi - looking to upgrade an older laptop with 1TB HDD to SSD. Can I reuse the existing HDD to store data files? Any way of finding out have much of the HDD is being used for programs so I know what size SSD I'll need? Thank in advance.
The Phison S11 controller in this SSD isn't that great and with it being DRAM-less, it has slow access to the information on the drive and lower lifespan.

If I remember correctly, MyMemory were in American Express' Shop Small last year to get £5 off £10 spend. Tried checking now but doesn't seem to be this year, can anyone confirm this? Would make this even better! Thanks

DISK USAGE WIZARD or SPACEMONGER are not bad free programs to do what you need!
Don't need one. Bought anyway... Suppose I'll upgrade my parents PC!
.....we just need graphic card prices to crash in the same way as SSD. Heat added
Is 120GB enough for Win 10?
