By 2019 I was hoping for hoverboards, time cops and space travel for the common man.

But I guess a 256gb micro sd card will do.

And still people vote half sized sandisks for double the price as "scorching hot"

Thats a great deal. I paid about £35 for mine a few months back and love it. So far it's filled with

Only fools and horses box set,
Peep show box set
Red dwarf box set
(36 more box sets)

Plus every single game ever made for

Amiga CD32, atari lynx, atari jaguar, NES, Snes, mega drive, N64, master system, game boy, gamegear, game boy advanced 32x,

Plus whole collection of every ALBULM and single from Marilyn Manson, korn, slipknot and about 40 other bands...

And yet.... despite all my pics, videos, and apps... still have 13GB left

These any good to have permanently installed in a laptop sd slot?
If the reviews on Amazon are to be trusted, quite a few indications of failures after a few hours or a few days.

Good price, but I will stick to Samsung Evo cards. Never had any issues with those.

I had a failure of a Samsung Evo card. Was within the firs year, so Amazon just replaced.

Before it drops even more next month

I don't doubt that from other retailers However, Amazon will take bit of time.

I used dozens of integral cards for hundreds of £3000-5000 photography/videography jobs and never had a failure.
Likely that review is from some sour guy that bought a SanDisk for 5 times the price and is trying to justify his buy.

Integral is the best UK manufacturer of memory modules.

Always make sure you tick "verified purchase only" on reviews

Well, you are trying too hard my friend.

Are you sure it's only dozens of Integral/MyMemory cards and not thousands???

Quite a few people recently reporting early failures of Integral and MyMemory cards, so tell your employer (whichever of those two companies) that they shouldn't sell faulty goods intentionally. The heavy price drops/discounts don't seem to be a coincidence anymore.

Sorry, I just mean that it should have a slot to put in. Which phone do you have ? Micro SDs are all of same size.

Sure it will work, however if you had tried out something simple things like re- formatting, trying on other device etc or not?

yeh i put in in my laptop (via sd adapter) and have tried following help instrctions online to reformat to oringal state but nothing is working. As soon as it connects to my laptop & i try to do anything with it it just loads then crashes my laptop ...
really annoyed tbh as it's barely been used. I think the nokia 8 update screwed it up as after the update installed it asked me to reformat the sd card which i did but it's never worked since then.
of course it's got the be the 64gb card (My biggest) that breaks & not one of my 4gb ones.
Frustratingly Nokia 8 has no option using gcam to store photos/vids directly to sd card, similarly cannot be formatted as internal storage to move apps to either.

How long is a piece of string?.

The easy answer for you is, it's purely dependent of the Device basically?.

Eg. Some Year's back I bought different sized LINX Window's Tablets. :-)

One size stated only 32GB it would support up to, whereas as the other rather stated 64GB instead, but guess what?.

Needless to say, they supported DOUBLE the memory card capacities to that of what was stated on the tin basically ... hehehehe.

In a nutshell, I suppose it comes down to pure trial and error, etc?. :-)

Don't worry, embrace it as I am too, lol.

Not the same horses for courses scenario thing, unfortunately?.

It's alllllll about the phone's firmware, and what the manufacturer originally wanted you to have, etc?.

Eg. A phone from 10 Year's ago, is almost (all but universally) understood, to not be able to accommodate even a 64GB memory card, right?.

Yet alone a 128GB+ memory card, etc?.

Even some phone's built within the last 5 Year's can't even do 128GB, or whatever?.

Like I mentioned earlier, it's alllllll in the firmware ...

What works for one, is not necessarily guaranteed to work for another?, and/or visa-versa?.

So no point to just assume, etc. :-)
Thanks bought one. Made the mistake is being cheap with the last one and only got 32gb...
Bought one of these last month from mymemory at this price and installed c.130gb of games for my Nintendo switch.
No problems so far, very happy with it.

Just waiting for the time I need a 512gbb card. Hopefully they'll be sub £40 by then. But at the right I buy and play, that's not guaranteed

No, not quite.

Sdxc standard supports up to 2TB on a single MicroSDXC card. Manufacturers tend to quote quote support to the largest size card at the time of production, but larger are fine.
