MyMemory's own brand is just as good and £3 quid cheaper ..

I'm about to buy my first ever memory card, to save videos taken on my smartphone (just until offloaded at home)

I think I'll take your advice and opt for the 'own brand' card, also seconded by 'Brutes'

I thought it was just a question of storage, but i see one is referred to as PRO and the other Premium.

Is there a big difference in quality / specification etc

MyMemory 128GB V30 Premium Micro at £12.95

MyMemory 256GB V30 PRO Micro at £24.99
Compare the two specs for the one in the OP and the MyMemory own brand ..

The OP ..

"256gb V30 Micro SD Card (SDXC) UHS-I U3 100mb/s"

The own brand ..

"256gb V30 Micro SD Card (SDXC) UHS-I U3 100mb/s"

As you can see, they're identical. The "Pro" and "Ultima" tags are largely irrelevant. The 128gb is the same spec but, obviously, with less storage.

If you have the money, I'd go for the 256gb. It's better to have too much space than not enough I've always though.

£2 cheaper @ their EBay store

Included in the Ebay listing is the following ..

"International postage of items may be subject to customs processing and additional charges"

I don't know what these charges will be, so I'll just buy directly from the company website, which states 'free UK delivery'

From JerseyPost.com "VAT tax must be paid on most items sent from Jersey to the UK. Please note, whilst VAT relief was previously allowed for goods less than £15, this is no longer the case." .. LINK

For the listed price you don't pay extra. I think that's the reason they'd raised the price of this..

Hi Brutes .. you seem to be an expert with memory cards

My card arrived today and i see on the internet it can be used as 'portable storage' or formatted to be like 'internal storage'

I only need the card for videos made on the camera app, just for a day at most, until I can download them to my computer. Which option would be better for me ?

Can I still just offload the files using the USB regardless on the type of memory? or is a card reader required

thank you

Hi, not an expert but I like and have interest this category. Just use the cable to transer rather than taking out. So, internal storage.
