If you need a faster external SSD, This could be a good middle way.
Comparing this speed to the one we usually see at this price level is about double. Nice way is you need something portable but fast and small as well. Use code HMMHBN

Anyone know if you can boot off these ?

Yeah definitely you can. Extremely easy to do if you're booting Linux.

Anyway most people will want to boot Windows 10 or 11 from an external so here's how to do that > To boot Windows the easiest way is to get some software that does it for you and the process is called Windows To Go. So you need a Windows To Go Creator utility >

    It's integral not own brand.

It’s probably an M2 drive in a solid case and will do the job nicely. This is for the people who buy the cheapest Kingston flash drive then complain the write speed is only 5MB/s

These external SSDs are more reliable and superior for write speed too. Very useful things. They do consume more power though - worth considering as one of our TVs won’t accept an SSD or HDD based drive. (edited)

Was just having a quick head scratch as why you'd buy one of these over a more compact USB-C pen drive and saw the performance up to 900MB/s write is pretty decent. £/GB you can get better value with larger capacity drives but this looks good if it fits your needs.

Yes it's easily fast enough, especially if you have a USB 3.2 port.
