Decent price, but for £2 extra, you can get the Sandisk 3.1 ultra fit from base.com. Much faster, got it a week ago and test it, 145mb/s read, 55mb/s write, no heating issues (the plastic one). Voted hot for the price, but for £1-2 extra, you get much faster ones.

I think you're paying for the build quality here, I'd put this on my keychain, like I have with Kingston SE9 sticks (that I've had there for 5 years now) but a Sandisk Ultra will get smashed off in days from general use and carrying around.

exactly this .... plastic ones don't last five minutes on a key ring with my other work stuff (keycard / vpn key etc)

I ordered 2 this morning - one for work and one for home ..... a small USB drive for occasional use for a fiver each = great deal

Yes, depending what you need it for. I will not carry the slim fit with me. For me it was to plug it in the blue ray player and my small children not to be able to take it off. This is small and difficult to 'unplug it', also good speed, so suits me. For carrying it with me, I have some old ones, 'heavy duty'. Anyway, the price is good for what it is.

Agreed. The Ultra Fit are good but still not for carrying on keychains - I don’t trust those little string straps for not losing the thing. I believe though, the Ultra Fit USBs still get far too hot in operation.

The metal one I had before was very hot, so I've replaced it with Samsung fit. The plastic one, so far, so good, not too hot. Time will tell!

The Samsung Fit is meant to be much better than the SanDisk one to be fair. I have a SanDisk one but rarely use it as I don’t like leaving it connected and it’s too small I don’t like carrying it in case I lose it.

"USB 2 for high data transfer"

Hahahahahaha, it's only got a 32GB maximum capacity though?.

If it was a 1TB+ Hard Drive or something, then yes, perhaps the then USB 2 on it would be 'different' ... lol.
