meh, ok
Honestly, you'd be much better off buying a small 2.5inch portable hard hard, you'd easilly be able to get 2TB for the same price and it would still be pocket sized HOWEVER it's going to be extremely difficult to find a USB flash drive with the same storage for anywhere near the same price so I'll give it some heat.

Agreed. There is obviously no doubting that these are smaller than a portable 2.5" drive but enough to account for the big GB/£ difference? Not for me, I can't think of many real world situations where I'd need the large size but extra portability.

Jogging to work? More comfy this way.

Or buy an M.2 SATA SSD and an M.2 SATA to USB 3.0 adapter.
Even without stopping around, Amazon do a 500GB Western Digital Blue M.2 SATA for under £55:

And an adapter for around £8:
Adapter
Far more versatile and should be around be able to saturate USB 3.0 (the drive itself is over 500MB/s read and write).
Although an adapter with a USB socket & cable is probably far more robust.

I have 2tb nvme ssd drive with nvme caddy (10 Gbps speed) which combined are 4 times more expensive . I guess horses for courses. This is the most simple and elegant solution. I wish the bigger usb drives get cheaper as has happened with bigger micro SD cards. But in a world where people are still buying moving sata hdd platters , these solid state electronic devices are much better.
