It’s not pointless at all. If the SSHD caches the files you want then it will be almost as fast as an SSD but if you play a lot of different games then the cache will be spread out among them and not as effective. So you don’t get ‘better results’, you might get ‘better value’ though if storage is a higher priority than speed.
